MHK Statue

Have we discussed the statue proposition for the roundabout on 3rd and Bluemont yet?

I guess it will be a Kaw Chief with both a spear and a peace pipe.

They should've made a statue of a boat getting stuck on a sandbar.  Or Earl Woods.

A sculpture for the 4th Street and Bluemont Avenue roundabout is being recommended to the commission by the Arts and Humanities Advisory Board.  The statue features a Native American male figure, and is called “Peace Offering on the Blue”.  The commission applauded the board’s efforts, but had some questions about the historical accuracy of the sculpture and sensitivity to the Native American population.  The board assured the commission as the process for placing the artwork went forward all necessary changes would be made to preserve the historical accuracy, and would partner with surrounding Native American populations to ensure all requirements are met to standard.

The boat in sandbar idea is amazing.  That would be some Pawnee, Indiana crap.  (Good crap, not bad.)

you know the metal fountain by the mall in the couryard right by the old chicago? it was some kind of astronomical price disigned for mhk by some kind of sculpture/artist and then turned out to be just a hunk of metal. townies were not impressed when the city purchased that thing.

I hate Chief Illiniwek.  It's rough ridin' obnoxious.  I celebrated the day they banned that derpy fuckface from prancing around at our sporting events.  It was a disgrace.  I like our name and logo.  I loathed the white guy they dressed up like an Indian Native American.

Could put that as part of a fountain.  Like one of those round balls that floats and spins on top of water.  Could account for the motion.  Old Balls Memorial Fountain.

Could make the skirt of the fountain pool look like '80 Dallas jerseys.

I would like an impeccably cast Oscar the Grouch.  I honestly would enjoy walking by that every day.  It would make me smile.  Like seeing a best friend every time you go there.
