Duh. They are poors
I grew up in Lawrence and I can say, It was really hard for me not being a poor. I didn't have anyone else to relate to. I tried wearing starter clothes in HS like everyone else but that just made me have more money when I stopped buying armani and everyone knew I was still like, WAY richer than them, probably because of the KSU stuff I'd wear.
That sounds like a tough way to come up, Doom. Sorry you had it so rough. I guess, it probs gives you perspective having lived on that side of the tracks. Immersion is the best way to truly understand something.
Were your parents missionaries or something?
