Well, the tucks are wrong. Half the time Sams wouldn't have even been tackled when he was whistled down. He would of easily ran for more yardage. I didn't see that as much out of Waters.  Sams > Waters at getting out of bad situations.

that statement can also go the other way...there were a few times Sams would've gone down for a loss or no gain but because of the two hand touch he was allowed to run for like 15 yards. Both guys had there moments. A friend of mine whose brother in law plays quite a bit said he thinks it'll be Waters because Sams is less accurate and makes more bad decisions in practice.

You really think people are choosing waters due to racism? Waters threw 14/18 (78%) and 3TD's. Sams threw 18/28 (64%) 3TD's and an INT. Waters scrambled for one less yard on about 1/3rd the attempts and called more running plays involving Robert Rose (110 of his 141 yards came with waters at QB)

To the people at the game you could call one of Sams's TD's lucky to not be an INT (and sports center agrees)

Would you rather have a surgeon that loses 22% of his patients or one that loses 36% of his and has been known to 'get lucky' during his bad decisions of the past? Hubert and the O line will keep the ground game going just fine, Having a more Elite passer will open up our options more than a slightly faster and shiftier secondary running threat which is exactly what we had last year and lead to our demise.

But you know, these stats are inconvenient so lets ignore them and Sams is black so that's obviously the problem.

Waters will win the job because Hubert is a good back and will do his thing on the ground, and he is more than athletic enough to fit the system, he makes better decisions with the ball, and is the greater passer overall.  I would be happy with either guy and I know everyone here is pro-#LIFE but let's be logical, Waters gives the offense more diversity and the athleticism needed to run a LHC Bill Snyder offense.  He will also win us more games IMO.  It's just a Spring game, but I'm basing it on film of Waters from IWCC(yes I know it's JUCO), I've seen Sams too and he makes more bad decisions with the ball.  The only problem I'd seen with Waters was him underthrowing receivers at IWCC which he didn't do at the Spring game, so he's improved.  I just think he's the better option, I mean anyone who throws 39 TDs and VERY few interceptions(3) is fine with me.  I'd like to see the better guy win, I just believe it's Waters.

I really hope this doesn't happen. If it does, we're looking at a pretty sorry season.  I love Sams' swag and ability to run, worried about his accuracy. But, if we run the ball well enough, he'll be looking at some wide open receivers like CK did so we should be fine.  If Waters just comes in an blows him away, fine but I want Sams on the field somewhere most of the time...

I think it is realistic to see Waters in a bunch.  I mean, if our D is as bad as it sounds, we will really need to try to not score too quickly to keep the D off the field and if Sams is going to be in all the time, the other team's score will get ridic.  Put waters in, slow down the offense and just use Sams when we need a score.
