eff that stupid ass show (duck dynasty related)

The show is extremely scripted, but I find it entertaining (reasons I can't explain really).

A) I know it's fake

B) I am sure there are tons of people that are actually doing all the work.

C) Si is pure comedy to me and watch the show just for him.

I wish I had more, but I can't provide any other reasons I watch this crap (and enjoy it).

I DVR it, and fast forward through 98% of the show, I can usually get through about 5 or 6 of them in about 12 minutes.

I FF through about 98.7% of last nights show.   

Probably coming off the record list tonight.

this is kind of fascinating. how do you know you aren't missing something good?

I might be, but if it looks funny, I'll just roll back a little . . . my %'s on FF were probably a little high, but I screamed through last night.    I'll admit that Si gives me a hearty chuckle from time to time, I appreciate it when people that age are vibrant, a little hip and seem like they like to laugh.  Albeit last night he wasn't all that funny at all, and I thought the whole Mayan Temple deal was in poor taste, and I blame the writers.   I enjoy Phil's sarcasm at times, and Jace is sometimes good for a laugh.   The rest, way overly scripted and very meh. 

I pretty much cling to every word uttered in Mad Men, but I can't do that for a show like DD.

this is part of what makes it so fascinating. The recording/ff'ing doesn't seem like a good use of time, especially considering you love Mad Men.

I've never seen a second of this show but I'm familiar with it.  If someone here works for a competing network there's a very similar, albeit much better opportunity down in Mountain Home, AR. 

The guys that own Wapsi: the world's leading fly tying materials company.  So like quick rundown...fly fisherman tie their own flies with a mixture of feathers, various furs, and synthetic materials.  Everything from pheasant to beaver to ground squirrel to possum to baby seal (no crap).  This company receives like crates of dead crap and processes it for sale.  It's a disgusting business, although very profitable.

Anyway, the dudes that run it are like the Grateful Dead reincarnated.  Lots of drugs, sex, etc, + fishing.  Great personalities.  Very funny and mumped up.  Would be a great competing venture, IMO.
