I'm bored these days. What's next for me, SD? I'm trying to drink less and smoke less and kick ass at this new job opportunity. But i'm kinda lost, you know?

you need to buckle down and make your job performance the number one thing in your life. I know you well enough to know this.

Steve D, I'm considering taking out a loan for a new car but my current car runs well enough (about 75% of the time) and I also want to save.  What should i do thx

will a new car make you happier than saving the money?

IDK thats why I asked my life planner!!  I mean in the short term having the new car would obviously make me happier but I'm sure down the road I would be glad I saved.  RIGHT!?!

Probably, but what are you going to do with the money down the road? Are you financially secure enough to not give up anything important by buying the new car?

Not quite.  I'll save a little longer.  Thanks SD, you're the best!

should i stay home and watch the NFL Draft or go to a minor league baseball game?

both would involve brews and betting. i'll take your answer off the air.

SD, I'd really appreciate it if you could keep your life planning, financial advice, travel agent and credit card advice in different threads. I understand you wear many hats but as someone who uses you for all of the above I'd just like a systematic way to find where my decisions have been made for me.

Unless, of course, as my life planner you decide I should just have my advice scattered everywhere. Your call, bro.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Hello stevedave,

I am currently thinking about abusing drugs in a heavy way.  Which ones would you recommend?

if you are going to do them really YOLO I would go with marijuana or psilocybin mushrooms so you don't die.

Agreed.  You can follow the draft on your phone while taking in a baseball game. Win-win

I recently turned 30. What are 2 achievable goals I should set for myself to achieve before I hit 40?

visit all continents other than Antarctica. do something very difficult that benefits someone other than yourself.

Question:

I've visited several already (North America for example, also Europe and Australia). Do those count or do I need to re-visit them in order for this goal to be completed?

would you feel complete after just finishing them off or would you feel better by starting fresh and hitting them all in one go?

Thanks stevedave, a followup:

I own a large number of broken refrigerators and would like to trade them for cash.  How should I proceed?

You have really great life coach skills Steve Dave! Asking the questions that get to the heart of what someone desires! I think due to my current life situation and having kids, the goal of knocking out South America, Africa, and Asia seems totally doable by 40, but starting over and going to all of them by 40 seems daunting to me personally. My current job doesn't allow for tons of travel, and I'd like to go places around the USA too!

Would I have set this goal without this thread? Probs not. Am I beginning to collect points and miles in order to achieve this goal? Yes. Yes I am. Would I have ever started doing that without goEMAW.com? Maybe, but doubtful.

Thanks goEMAW, from my heart to yours!

SD-

I'm really starting to jump on the Royals Bandwagon but I have a problem. I've gone to 3-4 game a year for the past couple of years and the royals have never won any of those games.

I really want to attend some games this year and soak up the atmosphere at the K but I dont want to curse the team.

Advice?
