I was at the stop sign first. Like, totally first. I was sitting there all alone, for like 30 seconds, wanting to make a left turn, but was forced to wait - and wait - and wait - until traffic in front of me (going both directions) had finally cleared. After a minute, it begins to look like things are clearing up. I look to my left, and there are no cars coming! Yes!

Then, I look to my right, and ... what's this? Where did this car come from? And why did it pull up in front of the stop sign?

Now I can't see! Now I have to wait!

Again!

Plan your route so you don't have to make an unprotected left turn. Companies like UPS do this as often as possible, and so will I.

there is no "being behind me." it was impossible to make the left turn. i went at the earliest possible time. a line of cars headed in both directions. nothing i could do. then, when i finally can go (after a long wait), a car pulls up (seemingly from out of nowhere!) and takes away the sight line that i was just about to use.

its pretty funny how carefully calculated all of the pavement markings (especially stop bars) are just so people can blatantly disregard them.

this isn't a safety issue. it's a decency issue.

i don't have any issue with the car wanting to turn right. but please, respect my desire to turn left, and understand that by blocking my view, i am unable to do so. and again, as previously noted, i was at the stop sign first.
