Also, would we be the only D1 team to bring their star punter from a past team back to right the ship?  I bet we are.

Personally I prefer Daddy's Little Princess, but DPL makes more sense.

Dana Altman 2013 is a different guy than the one that arrived here with one year as a head coach at Marshall. Would take Altman over most anyone in college hoops, he has it going and a lot of Snyder traits.

Christ, you guys, I was just pointing out that the OP gave us the news about Sams we all wanted to hear (in spite of the stud reports on Waters).  Just thought it was worth a few  and instead it was crickets.

That tidbit was met with silence because we all expect Sams to start. It would be no different if the OP posted that Zimmerman would start at safety. If he posted that Waters has the inside track to being named starter, this thread would have taken a completely different direction.

What if Waters > Sams?  Not that it would be smart watching his passing game against Juco defenses as a valid basis of comparison, but it doesn't cost money to dream Waters could do that against Div I defenses.

Everything points to Sams.  History, style of play, and even the types of things the coaches have said in the media.

It's pretty clear the,coaches want Sams, but they're going to keep a fire under his ass for the next five months.

The point is that we know nothing at all that leads us to believe that Waters is actually better than Sams, as Panjandrum said all of the empirical evidence points to Sams being the frontrunner to start. So like I said the shock would be if we found out that Waters > Sams, not vice versa

Just got off the phone with our biggest donor who just happens to be a huge football fan.  He says Sams makes Robert Griffin look like Collin Klein and that Waters makes Collin Klein look like Robert Griffin.  Long story short, Waters sucks when compared to Sams.

Guys I just got off the phone with Robert Griffin and he told me that he recently observed Sams in practice and when he saw Sams throw the ball he fell to his knees and wept because it was so awesome and beautiful a sight.
