wichita state takes over top dog role in the state

the old quote goes "oh how the mighty have fallen" and it's so true.  the once "mighty" jayhawks have been told to sit down and have been told to watch their much superior older bros win.  the wu shock have proven to be the #1 program in the state of kansas, followed closely by kansas state (COY, b12 champ, multiple final fours), and then the hawks. 

if you were to have made this comment to me 5 years ago, i would probably look at you as if you were crazy, are you crazy?

no.  the reality is what it is.  good news here is that we should be able to take over top dog status with very little problem considering b12 champ/coy statuses.
will i root for wich st?  of course not, why would i?  anything good for them (top dog) is not good for us.  we will most likely be competing against each other for stud recruits.  i want them to fail miserably.

Personally I'm nervous about them becoming a true dynasty. I could see them having 4 or 5 more final fours in a row before its all over.

Will Perry Ellis transfer?

I'd like to lie and say I didn't see this coming but the truth is,  I did.  Marshall has been building a monster down the road for awhile as Self managed to squeeze the turnip and get a little life out of another 7ft bumpkin and a nut punching thug.  His magic is fleeting.  I'm glad we have the core of our nucleus coming back next year so we can at least play 2nd fiddle (lawrentucky lingo) again to the Shock's.

Not sure if he'll transfer but bet some good money he's woken up in a cold sweat a time or two thinking he could have stayed home, been on a team that made the final four and not come out morally bankrupt when he's done playing.  Do what you need to do Perry.  I'll be for you!
