I'd bet that is pretty badass because you are pretty good at computers, but I don't have any idea what you are talking about.

CompuCats.. I'm looking at adding another PC to my office and would like the best bang for the buck.  It would be primarily used for running my office software which is not very intensive.  Doesn't need to many bells and whistles.  Prefer giant screen.

Does anyone make a PC that:

1) doesn't have a ton of bullshit apps launch on start-up
2) doesn't have a bunch of bullshit pop-ups for notices to update this or renew that

Like, I just want to do what I want to do, not eff around with all that other bullshit so leave me alone!

Like my GoPro app begs for an update incessantly.  Hey little bitch GoPro, I turned you off, you're supposed to be dead until I re-awaken you.

Then I give in an do the update.  Well guess what now it's back in my launch on start-up list.  Hate that.

Bring up task manager.  Click the startup tab.  Left click the app.  Click disable.

Problem solved

Have you tried building your own computer so that it doesn't have all of those things?  I recently built this one out of some western red cedar I had lying around after finishing my deck this summer.  It's purely decorative but the screen is a chalkboard so you can draw on it to look like a favorite website.  And obviously no trouble with pop-ups.
