The people who react negatively to oscar's bullshit are just as dumb as the people who reacted positively to Frank's bullshit.  Conveniently, they're probably the same people.

Everyone here made fun of Frank's bullshit all the time.

Is oscar >, <, or = to Ron Prince?

If you looked at just results, they will probably be similar.  If you look at everything rough ridin' else, Ron Prince was light years better.

This might be one of the dumbest things i've seen on this board.

I still like the Prince hire more than the oscar hire. Prince's situation doomed him just like oscar's saved him.

I know this Team #BurnItDown must be a lot of fun for all you guys, but c'mon, comparing Prince to oscar is silly. oscar will most likely be very similar to Frank here, in terms of results, but instead of the 'Sideline Psycho' shtick, he's a goofy loser. oscar has had a good coaching career, no reason to think he will just destroy the program.

Life must be sad as a robot. Cheer up tin man.

I'm talking about the conclusions people draw about winning games from the things a coach says.  It's silly because all coaches are full of crap.

Some did sometimes.  Mostly, people bought in.

i lolled @ martin's crazy excesses, but i mostly loved them (except for his recruiting jucos just to frank them and their entire lives a year later).  i don't make fun of weber's quirks and i don't really enjoy them.

I don't think oscar will be similar to Frank.  Also, anytime you compare anyone to Prince you have to account for batshit insane entertainment factor.  Regardless of wins, oscar falls woefully short on that.  Frank was closer

Bought into what? His "being a man" speeches? His "kids these days" rants? His stories about being a math teacher? Followed by "stats are for losers" quotes?

oscar brought us a conference title, 0-3 vs KU, and a round 1 NCAA flop.

Prince brought us Freeman/stomp/purple pants, 0-9 vs KU/MU/NU, and a Texas Bowl flop.

Mocat completely ignoring Prince facing Mac at a time when KSU'ers actually thought we may not own TX.

I've posited that everything he said was bullshit.  So, any time he said something and someone thought it had something to do with winning games would count as an example.

what were Frank's excuses?

The only one I can remember was "youth".  Which completely infuriated me.

i think Prince going 0-3 against KU in football would be worse than oscar going 0-10 against them in bball.

It infuriated all of us because it was always his fault. Yeah, when you run off half the team every year, you end up with "youth".

You're an idiot.  Which one was more entertaining, oscar's Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) media non-comments or Ron Prince doing radical bullshit and 5 trick plays a game?  The biggest difference is that if there was a Prince equivalent in basketball, he would get 5-7 years.  Much longer leash in basketball than football.

Comparing their first years, losing in the first round of the NCAAs is pretty damn comparable to losing the Texas Bowl.

Nothing more tired than people invoking #BIDers whenever someone has a criticism of Weber.
