May need to bail my wife out if this continues...
« on: March 24, 2013, 05:00:50 AM »
My wife and I had our Wildcat jackets on today. Almost had to corral her in the Walmart parking lot when a jayhawk clad fan walked by her and said out loud
"Rock Chalk". She was furious when we got to car. I mean spitting mad. Then we went over to Jason Deli for dinner. While we are minding our own business eating our meal the manager walks up and says "to bad about the game yesterday...I was rooting for you guys even though I'm a hawk fan." She had her spoon in her hand as she was eating some soup and when I saw the soup starting to boil I knew I better say something. Before I could she blurted out "don't feel sorry for us I kind of like being big 12 champs in both football and basketball..you should try it sometime. Feels real good! " I just said WOW...I love that woman! I guess that's why I can't root for those other guys. Their arrogance is on another level.

An alternative to being mad might be to tell those fans that you came up with a K-State version of the Rock Chalk chant: (obviously doesn't match up syllable-wise)
"Come on down to TITLETOWN: KAY ESS YOOOOOOO"

I wouldn't go within a half mile of a walmart with my wildcat jacket on right now. Too many squawks.

I think it needs to be said, this genre of posts is incredibly played out.

Most popular place to buy Jayhawk T-shirts.  Also conforms with income demographics.

Your wife seems like a real B-word to give such a snarky reply to a courteous gesture.

Agreed.  She seems massively butthurt.

Why on earth would you even go to Walmart in the first place? That might be the trashiest place I can think of right now...and trust me, i've been to some trashy places in my day

Walmart has some good Faded Glory stuff.  The button-up long sleeve denim shirts are pretty cool, I also like the super tight knock-off Wrangler jeans.  All for $20 that's pretty good.   :dunno:

Hen House in PV is the worst in March. Hawk tees everywhere, but when they lose its like those people don't get groceries anymore. It's kind of bizarre.

PV Hen House is ground zero for squawks, and that store seems to attract a lot of genetic anomalies.

Sounds like the OP and his wife should stop wearing trashy college gear everywhere after the team loses and the rival wins...while living in KU country.  problem solved.

She sounds like a female tuck.  But I bet she is a great woman.  I would like to see this boiling soup through a spoon trick.  What type of soup?
