Ugh. If Angel leaves my level of interest is going to go from strained to through the floor down into the aesthenosphere where it burns up on contact.

Along these same lines, Mrs. Bones and I have been discussing season tickets for next year. She would like to renew. I, on the other hand, am not so sure, and haven't been since Currie hired oscar. Up until the B12 tourney championship game, and now the LaSalle game, I was leaning toward renewal. Now I'm not so sure. Input, guys?

be a fvcking fair weather fan and don't renew!

How are we going to score? Nobody who is on the roster can come close to replacing McGruder and we already struggled mightily scoring this season

We'd be able to answer questions about what we'll do after losing a few players, but this is the first time a team has ever had players not return following their senior season, so we really just have no idea what will happen.  Maybe the Earth will explode?

I'd say 'Ol Bones is being a proactive fan by not renewing, that's far from fair weather, his action along with other concerned Cat Fans will turn the tide and hopefully end Bruces "run" one year earlier than expected.

I think the athletic department's official stance is that you should renew, followed by writing an unhappy letter to Currie.

He will then send you an autographed photo of him using it as toilet paper while laughing with your money in hand.

If Angel leaves, our best PG before 2nd semester is Orris. And then in the 2nd semester our best option would be a freshman who hasn't got to practice with the team yet.

I have faith in Shane and Angel. Next year will still be fun because of those two.

Gip is a good scorer and rebounder, though defense is a concern.

Other guys will have to improve, but next year's team should be fine and should be a tournament team.

Are you just screwing around, or do you actually know something?

it's a rumor that was posted on gpc, and probably is also being tossed around among people that prefer to discuss kstate bball irl.

Didn't know about the gpc rumor.  Thanks.

Does the rumor elaborate on why he would want to transfer out?  He's sitting pretty for a first team all-conference/NCAA tourney season next year at K-State.  Obviously he'd be a major commodity on the transfer market, but it's not as if he's returning to some rebuilding project next year.  Has to be bullshit.  He's not leaving Shane, Gip and Coach Chet to fend for themselves.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

Well at this point he has to be starting to see the writing on the wall. He split a conference title and the fans still are not really that enthused. He probably is starting to get concerned about getting fired after year 3.

We all know that Currie wouldn't axe him that quickly but oscar is a worrier and not a great long term thinker when it comes to depth charts and new coaching gigs.

This is a guy that actually thought he was going to the College of Charleston and that Jacob Pullen wasn't good enough for Illinois.

I wouldn't be shocked if he took another gig if offered..... but who would be dumb enough to offer besides John Currie. :blindfold:
Hire Brad Underwood Now!!!!!!

He's not worried about getting fired. Have you heard him talk about his career at Illinois? He honestly believes that was the best span of basketball in Illinois' history.

gippy can score, williams can score, southie can score, obviously art can score.  diaz and omoney can maybe score, it's hard to know.  spradling can hit open shots (at least every other year).

at any rate, i don't think scoring is going to be a huge worry.  defense and rebounding are definitely more worrisome.

i would put DJamer down as a player who can also maybe score.

This.  No reason to renew.  Singles to the games you want to go to, most of the time in better locations, are very easy to get and much cheaper.

I unpinned it, but below are the season per 100 possession numbers. We'll see on DJamer. It would take Shane-like improvement. Gip showed enough to see he was a decent scorer as a freshman. DJamer was our least efficient scorer this season.

As oscar likes to point out, DJamer has never been a full-time basketball guy until coming to K-State so who knows  :dunno:
