JO won us a couple of games down the stretch this year.

KU, ISU, OU, OSU, and Baylor all have the potential to sweep us next year. We should sweep TCU and Tech. WVU and Texas look like 1-1.

Best case, 10-8. Worst case, 5-13. Would that get oscar fired?

no

oscar would have to miss the tourney for 2 straight years to even remotely have a shot at getting fired.  And that is remote, imo.  He gets 3 more years.

5-13 wouldn't? Probably not, given how committed this admin is to their huge mistake.

Good point. Explains why every athletic team that has a change in personnel tends to perform comparably year-to-year.

Everyone is getting hit pretty hard this year...

KU will lose their entire starting five.

ISU loses 5 of their top 7 scorers.

OU loses 3 of their top 6 scorers (top two in Pledger and Osby)

OSU will lose Smart and Olukemi for sure.  Mock draft boards have Brown as a 1st round pick.  He's likely gone.  Nash may declare to salvage whatever stock he may have left...don't know.

Baylor loses Jackson and Austin will leave.  The rest of them are effing awful.

Texas will most likely lose Kabongo.

WVU returns nearly everyone but the foreign guy.  They might actually be pretty decent.

Tech and TCU don't count.

When we look at these teams during Big 12 Media Days, KSU may end up bringing back the most intact roster and the most returning points from their starters.  Angel Rodriguez will probably be the only player from the first two All-Big 12 teams, and he may be on a short list for Big 12 Player of the Year.

I mean, yeah, today was horrible, but next year isn't going to be as bad as everyone thinks it will be.  We bring back a lot in a down league that's taking another big hit next year.

Good info. Gotta give Self credit until he doesn't get it done, though. The next five look to be a split. So maybe revise best case to 13-5.

But that would probably mean continued Big 12 being down. Look to tourney to see where we stand in relation to the country.

Losing JO hurts on defense, but he was so up and down, it's hard to know exactly what will be lost on the aggregate.

it's incredible that people still think they can say things like this and not look like a dumbass when we have a pinned thread that shows that they are dumbasses.

Expect Southwell and Angel to continue getting better.

entirely probable that southie continues getting better, but shoots significantly worse.

Then what will he get better at? Rebounding? Because he isn't going to ever be an elite ballhandler or anything.

he can get a little better at everything, including shooting.  my point is that his shooting % is quite a bit more likely to go down than up (even if he becomes a better shooter).

it's a rumor that was posted on gpc, and probably is also being tossed around among people that prefer to discuss kstate bball irl.

OK.

I think he should focus on working to be able to create his own shot more regularly. Would be a boss on the offensive end then.

i think he can get his own shot adequately.  more than sufficiently if art is here to assist him.  he needs to be a better defender.  with his length and mobility, he should be much better than he is.

If Angel leaves, Weber, Currie, and Schultz will be looking for jobs sooner rather than later.

Along these same lines, Mrs. Bones and I have been discussing season tickets for next year. She would like to renew. I, on the other hand, am not so sure, and haven't been since Currie hired oscar. Up until the B12 tourney championship game, and now the LaSalle game, I was leaning toward renewal. Now I'm not so sure. Input, guys?
