No, that is a KSU fan.  He posted on their board that he was posting here to try to get more of us to visit over there.  They have a thread with a good breakdown of BSU and LaSalle stats.  Overall they are having a good time with this matchup.  We can worry about them on Thursday.

They're on to us!!!!    :runaway:

They thought I was some infamous Vandal fan named "Des" going over there to rile them up.  If you read the thread I didn't even do anything wrong.  Just didn't want them to be fixated on La Salle when we could be BBSing with them all week.

I'm not sure if it's that they won't talk to us or that they simply can't. The guy who linked to Wiki has 8k posts while the one who thinks "64 teams automatically get in" to the tourney has 7k.

Why are they so worried that responding will make them look arrogant? Seems like an odd concern, and yet 3 or 4 of them mention it.

Also I'm not sure they really know what a troll is.

Maybe if a poster better than Emo EMAW had been the first to reach out this would be more fun  :dunno:

Disappointed in this thread. Really wanted to talk about Taco Bell Arena. I love everything about it. Its name is so awesome. It also kinda looks like an old opera house almost, or at least a little bit like Oregon's old The Pit. And Tyus Edney happened there, as did Hampton upsetting Iowa State in a 15-2. And they have insane hoops courts.

Have heard Boise is nicer than you might expect.

Well obviously I'm not a good poster but I figured not being confrontational was a good approach.  A good friend of mine if pretty familiar with their board and he told me not to even bother.  Said there wasn't a single intelligent poster there.  Can't say I've seen evidence to the contrary at this point.

Boise is more like Utah State, IMO, but still way worse.  It's basically a junior college.

These are the same people that got all butthurt when they left their in-state rival Idaho for another conference.  They don't ever want to play Idaho again because allegedly Idaho fans are too mean.  So they take their ball and go home.  Basically just incredibly insecure, inferiority complex type stuff, so they don't even want to talk to outsiders.

I think it was the other way around, wasn't it?

BSU discontinued the rivalry and their university president spouted some bullshit about Idaho's classless fans.

Quote
BOISE, Idaho -- Boise State University president Bob Kustra says his remarks about a bitter football rivalry with the University of Idaho, in which he called Vandal culture "nasty" and "inebriated," came out harsher than he intended.

But Kustra is defending his stance that there's no reason for the Broncos to continue traveling to northern Idaho to play the Vandals on their home turf in Moscow.

Kustra's criticisms of the Vandals came during an interview with the Idaho Statesman editorial board Tuesday. Kustra later said in a prepared statement to Idaho media that questions about the rivalry "hit a sore spot" after someone sent him a recent opinion piece entitled "Reasons to Hate Boise State" from the University of Idaho student newspaper.

"It troubles me that the occasion of an annual football game causes the air waves and Internet to be full of disparagement of Boise State's students, faculty and programs, year after year," Kustra said.

Boise State's pending move to the Mountain West Conference from the Western Athletic Conference means the Broncos aren't likely to play the Idaho Vandals in 2011.

Boise State coach Chris Petersen put the future of the long-standing rivalry in further doubt Monday, saying his team should no longer travel to Moscow for games.

Kustra, when questioned about Petersen's remarks during his interview with the newspaper editorial board, said he didn't care if the Broncos ever play the Vandals again, the newspaper reported.

Boise State spokesman Frank Zang told The Associated Press on Wednesday that he was present during the interview and the university does not dispute the context of Kustra's remarks.

"He does recognize that they came out harsher than he intended," Zang said.

Kustra did not plan to do any follow-up interviews about his remarks, Zang said.

University of Idaho president Duane Nellis said he was disappointed by Kustra's comments.

"I'm sorry to hear that Bob feels so negatively about his visits to Moscow," Nellis said in a statement.

The annual matchup between the Broncos and Vandals alternates between Boise and Moscow. The teams are scheduled to play each other on Nov. 12 in Moscow.

"In-state rivalries are meant to be fun," Nellis said. "Our long-time rivalry with BSU is important to the state, the economy, and the fans from both teams. We embrace and celebrate that rivalry and I very much hope it continues."

It seems that Boise is inflicted with taking themselves too seriously

Sorry, SB :embarrassed:  Boise is nicer than expected.  Good live music and downtown and a surprising Basque block.  Kind of like a much bigger Missoula (which is also super stud).
