We are doing a $90 all you can eat/drink deal at Harrahs. Sounds like there will be some good seats available if we get there soon enough.

Also, I don't care if this is the best deal or even a crappy one. Nothing you guys (clams) can say will bring me down from this TITLETOWN Vegas high.

That sounds really fun, ksc!

I did the PH Mezz party last year...I think it was like $50 for beer and crap food but plenty of seating, big TV showing all games, and gambling booths setup for quick betting.  It was an alright setup.

Was it easy to get beer/food, PT? Could you get up from your seats and go gamble and come back after a bit? Did you at least feel like you got your money's worth?

planet hollywood's sports book sucks.  their casino sucks.  everything about that place sucks.

disagree. seating is comfortable, the TVs are basically on top of you, easy access to a sandwich shop (Earl of Sandwich), plenty of bars nearby, and as a bonus, you can get a great waffle cone for under $10.

seating is extremely limited at the sports book bar and the 45 minute earl of sandwich line is lol.

Sclams is totally and omnipotently correct here. Everything about the PH sucks ballsack.

Beer and food were super easy.  Temp gambling stations were very close, didn't have to go down to the book.  Given what other places demand out of seats for this weekend, I felt it was an alright deal.  It didn't have a great atmosphere depending on the games going on, definitely wasn't as fun as sitting in a packed book, it was like sitting in a huge conference room....but for the price, I'd probably do it again.

Lobster me and Earl of Sandwich do not suck.  Their book is pretty below average.

I'm going to be honest: I don't get Vegas. I mean, it's fun for a weekend every 5 years or so, but that's about all I want.

And I also don't get the "stay away from The Strip!" people. This isn't 1972; The Strip is Vegas. I don't see the point of a Vegas trip that doesn't take place 90% on The Strip.

i rarely have trouble finding a seat there, including during conf tourney week.

agree on the earl of sandwich lines. that's actually pretty embarrassing. they should address that.

No line for me a couple of weeks ago, nor did I see one the dozens of times I walked by. You're right about the ice cream across the hall from earl of sandwich :lick: Also PBR Bar was a diamond in the rough, the ribs were surprisingly good. Also $20 open bar

we're talking about NCAA tournament time, not random drive by's 2 weeks ago.

last year the ph sports book lines started ~ an hour before first games and remained steady all day

the conference room thing Phil Titola mentioned wasn't too busy but I couldn't imagine sitting in those chairs all day drinking miller lite.  decent gambling,+ food set up though

not everywhere is busy, you just have to know where and when to go

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

you can avoid the sportsbook line if you're a harrahs platinum or diamond card holder, or if someone you're with has one (they don't check id when you're making bets).  those cards also give you access to the private lounges which include free drinks and food, along with several private tv's including a giant Panasonic plasma that must have been+ 100 inches and leather sofas.  I do endorse this approach if available to you

Pro tip for potential sportsbook viewers: Show up super early, like before the sportsbook even opens, and write "taken" on a piece of paper and place it on a seat.  :surprised:

The Hoops and Hops Cosmo thing had big round tables that would fit a group of 20 if you crammed in. They had multiple drink stands and they only sold so many wrist bands so it didn't get packed. It was a pretty classy deal. Or as classy as a room full of 80% drunk bruhs screaming at basketball games with unlimited free drinks can be. It was easy to leave and come back as there was enough seating for everyone. We just tipped our chairs against the table and they were there when we came back. They had drink servers as well if you didn't want to go get a drink and they wouldn't accept tips which I thought was bizzare.

Go to club, sleep in sportsbook chairs.  Hope the one you picked isn't "reserved"

If the VIP area for Hoops and Hops on Friday is sold out, how bad will this pud GA package be? Is it even worth the effort?

Watching the NCAA tourney in Vegas sounds like a lot of work.
