BTW, will they be selling beer at the Sprint Center for the NCAA's? I noticed they didn't during the Big 12 tourney..

important question

They don't sell beer to the general public at NCAA sanctioned events.

Tidbit on getting good tickets   Reply
I will not be attending the KC regional this weekend, as I will out of town in Dallas. However, my father and I have attended many regionals over the years (as both WSU and KSU fans) and I have a tip on how to get good tickets for you.  We have used this tip many times over the years. In fact, I am a bit hesitant to even share it, but I want KC packed with purple this week. Unless something has changed this year, the NCAA requires each team in the field to purchase a minimum of 500 tickets per school.  For a team like KU or KSU this is no big deal. Those schools have ticket demand way beyond that number and try to purchase as many tickets as possible to fill demand.  Unless you are big donor for KSU, you are going to get screwed on getting tickets. However, for a small school (the 15 or 16 seeds) this 500 ticket requirement can be a real financial burden to them. My father and I have landed some amazing tickets over the years by introducing ourselves to the athletic directors of these small schools and befriending them. A few kind words on the success of that small teams year to the AD goes a very long way.  For the KC group of teams, that will be WKU.  Perhaps WKU travels well and will have no trouble selling their 500 tickets. But if history is correct, it is unlikely that is the case. You often see those 15 or 16 seeds with very few fans behind their benches during their games. They just don't travel well.  Often times these schools have to eat the extra tickets they don't sell.  My suggestion would be to find out what is the team hotel for WVU, and ask to visit with the AD.  Tell them you are willing to buy two extra tickets off of them at face value. DO NOT get greedy on how many tickets you are trying to buy. If they think you are a scalper or are going to sell the tickets you are screwed. You then promise to sit in the seats, and will cheer for their team during the game.  Many times over the years, that has resulted in my dad and I getting tickets within the first six rows behind that teams bench.  We are often even given free t-shirts of that teams colors to wear during the game which we always wear. We have a great time with it, and their fans adopt us as their own for a few hours. We cheer like we have been lifelong fans of that team each time, and always high five the other fans after big baskets etc. The team we are always rooting for loses the game of course, but we have fun and just landed great seats for the day. After the game, you simply take off their t-shirt and put your purple t-shirt back and enjoy your great seats for the next game. These ADs often have tickets to all sessions by the way.  Making that AD your friend can lead to some great tickets for a day or two if you work it right.  Anyways, that is the trick we have done several times over the years. My dad is a real friendly and easy going guy, so it always works for us.  The key is to simply be nice.  Good luck to those who try it.

It's a lot of work for the possibility of them have tickets to sell for other sessions.  What other game is in KU's session?

Did anyone have a pending charge on their credit card, then get a cancellation?

yes.    Also, the cancellation email I got shows a refund of $12 less than the initial authorization, but I assume that will resolve itself.

Sprint Center site has upper deck behind the basket for our session on Friday for $66 a ticket.  I just bought Limestone and I tix.  We may try to upgrade later through scalpers or whatever, but nice to have a backup.

After the dejected Wisconsin/Ole Miss fans walk out, there should be a bunch of open seats down lows....besides all those unoccupied by second session fans too lazy to scalp.

Looks like similar to those still listed on the sprintcenter.com for those who don't mind the nose bleeds.

It will be easy as crap to move around for our session guys.  Buy the cheapest upper levels you can find and go down to the lower level.
