Team anti-Will please explain something to me
« on: March 16, 2013, 07:53:03 PM »
So here is how I understand your position:
He and his father were able help force out Frank due to playing time/potential for Franking/change in position(?).
He and his father have significant clout to keep his minutes up, even in the new regime.
He and his father have open and unfettered communication with anyone in the athletic department.

Now here is what I don't understand, how does a mediocre player with no apparent high level alumni/donor connections get this much clout to cause his minutes to stay up, let alone cause a freaking regime change with a popular successful coach.

Now I grant that Currie and Frank were not on the best of terms and that alone is enough to push a coach out, but there seems to be a great emphasis on Will and his dad Franking Frank.

I don't buy the above. Think it's more: Shannon exploited the hell out of Frank's departure with the media to paint Frank badly and pump up his son. Some dumbasses, even some here, bought what he was saying about mass defections when in fact only his crappy son was going to leave.
Have no idea why Weber gives him the minutes he does over Tay.

That is what doesn't add up.  I think everyone agrees Tay is the better player.

Answer the question bus driver, quit being a dipshit.  Everyone knows Will with his maxipad isn't nearly as good as Tay.

Then what other question is there to answer? Making crap up to degrade Will is fair game.

How dose a mediocre player with a helicopter parent get enough clout to do everything they are accused of?

I could see Beasley getting a coach run off.  I could see him demanding any minutes.....But Will?  How does his family have any power?

I like Will but he has not played good at all since getting injured

On the flip side, his previous 13 games before getting hurt he shot over 60% eFG and over 44% from 3pt land

If he isnt healthy and cant get his shot back,  he needs to play 20 minutes and Tay needs to play more minutes than him

None of us can explain it ednksu. It doesn't make sense. I think your point is that Will must be a better option than Marty, because the coach keeps playing him and that the conspiracy theories just don't add up. I would answer your question with another question. Do you honestly think Will is a better option than Marty right now? Please give me evidence to back up your position. If your point is that Marty is better than Will, but you just don't like Kougs and the rest of the anti-Will brigade, then you can go fvck off.

I think the timing of this thread is throwing off the issue.  I think Tay is a far better option than Will, especially an injured Will.

I've listed the main points of why people are against Will, but I don't understand how that all works together with a shitty player.

I don't think Will and his dad ran off Frank. I think Will and his dad were all for running Frank off, and John Currie used it as ammunition in his fight against Frank.

edn, spradling and his father didn't run anyone one off.  they just provided convenient fodder for currie's propaganda machine.  the mystery you're trying to solve is not a mystery.
