The funniest thing about yesterday was when they had those going-out/coming-back from commercial shots of various players with trophies.  Anytime they showed Will with the Big12 Champ trophy they did some effect on the shot to soften Will's face to hid the acne.  It was pretty obvious with the change in brightness on the screen.

I don't hate Will as much as everyone else seems too, but when he passes up open jump shots, I don't understand his role. He doesn't create, he doesn't dribble drive, he doesn't defend particularly well though his help D has always been good. He he isn't going to take/make open jumpshots he shouldn't be on the floor. Irving has shown a willingness to get into the lane when it's needed (shot clock running down) and he very rarely passes on an open 3. Like everyone else, I guess I just don't see what oscar/Frank saw.

I wouldn't care that Will stayed on the team as long as the coaches could see his deficiencies and not start him over Irving. I'd rather just kick him off the team if that's never going to happen, though.

We all love our players when they play well and help the team win.  Some players you love even when they play badly and the team loses.  Will is not one of those players.

I am admittedly not watching Spradling with a balanced eye but his help D is horrible -  twice on Saturday he helped off of his man - once on pretty pud penetration and once to run halfway across the court to double one of KU's garbage 4s in the post.  Both times KU quickly swung the ball to his unguarded man for a wide open 3 that they made.

The 'help' in the post is what gets me the most  .  He doesn't dig out the ball like Angel or Tay, it just creates a scramble to recover that ends up with open shooters.

He makes more excuses for will than anyone else.  Angel's been playing with one arm for about 2 weeks now. but if a kid on the team got me my job, I probably would too.

What's been unsaid with all the fawning over Weber since January is that Frank knew this team needed just a little tweaking to get to the Final Four level. One tweak was getting the worthless POS Will out of town.

It's sad with all the co-champ celebrating to think about what this team could have been with a little more help.
