Will played 17 minutes, Tay played 31. Seems about right and this is what most have been asking for all season.

Tay was 1-7 from 3. Will was 0-2.

They both played terrible and the 2 spot was a detriment tonight; not one single player.

If Tay had played fewer minutes and put up much better numbers, this thread might have some more merit, but tonight its just dumb.

But if complaining (again) about Will makes you feel better, go for it I guess.

Sure, shots weren't falling for Tay, but he was trying to make something happen offensively and basically telling oscar and his cowardly gameplan to go eff themselves.

Also, in a game when neither is playing well offensively, who is the better defender? (I can't even type that question without smirking.)

And 17 minutes is too much for Will still. Maybe 5. Just sub him in for breathers before each TV timeout. Let him hand out waters and high-fives the rest of the time. Surely he's not too passive to do that much?

I'm all for this. I put no bearing on this game having impact on next weekend. I mean last night we took a pretty good 4/5 seed in OSU and handled them fine. People being upset about tonight I get, but people thinking this means we will lose the first round or have no shot at the Sweet 16 are just being dumb.

KU games are kind of irrelevant to these kind of discussions. Our entire program (fan base included) always panics and underperforms against KU. I don't even bother watching anymore. This is not something oscar is capable of fixing. We officially surrendered the instate rivalry when we hired him. And whatever. Just beat most of the other teams, accept our 2-3 losses to KU every year, and go about our lives.

Maybe my intent wasn't clear. I was addressing arguments that Tay also didn't play well tonight.

I hate Spradling almost as much as I hate Marcus Smart. You know how we hate Voskuil and Paige and Heslip et al? Well, I hate Spradling like I hate the players he should be.

Which pretty much describes anybody with two feet and a pair of shoes so there must be something else that made him get picked to be on the team.
