Well, KU fans don't celebrate most wins, they only feel relief it wasn't a loss.  So it makes sense the one time they celebrate it turns into anger after they realize how much fun it is and get mad at themselves for not doing it more often.

I don't really believe this. I mean, I've celebrated winning the Big 12 in football, winning a meaningless game against a top 5 Texas team in football (multiple times), winning in Norman, beating KU in basketball, beating #1 Texas in basketball, and winning the Big 12 in basketball, and all of the celebrations end up being pretty much the same. I really don't know what I would do to celebrate a national title that I'm not already doing every other time I feel like celebrating.

The Jayhawks, however, stopped short of tearing the net completely away from the iron rim. It still dangled after the gym had emptied.

“We didn’t want to show any disrespect to Nebraska, Kansas State or Missouri – the three teams we have left to play,” said Williams, whose team improved to 24-2 overall and 13-0 in the Big 12.
