I spent a few minutes this weekend pulling together an NBA draft analysis for this team over the next couple years.  The goal is to show how many NBA lottery picks we have marinating on our current 13 man roster.

I went ahead and broke down all potential 1st rounders as well.

1) Rodney McGruder.   The understatement of the year, but in the analysis I completed, McGruder was drafted 98% of the time in the Lottery at pick 8.

2) Non-Lotto - JO.  A lot has been made of his bad hands but he's still a 7 footer and is a lock in the NBA 1st round.  Look for him to cross the stage and shake hands with David Stern.  Before anyone thinks he will.

3) Non-Lotto - Martavious Irving.  Irving has proven to be a reliable 6th man and will spend the next years of his career spelling minutes for some lucky franchise owner.  My current analysis has him going late in the 1st, to the Knicks w/ the 25th pick.

4) Angel Rodriguez (2014 draft).  Lottery - pick #5.  Great hands, great vision, great intangibles, great speed, strength, and shooting.  Phoenix does hit the powerball when they pick up ART.

5) Shane Southwell (2014 draft).  Lottery - pick #9 Detroit Pistons.  Shane has the gift of so many nba required skills and intangibles.  Great shooting stroke? Check.  Great handles?  Check.  Great defense?  Check.  Enjoy Detroit Shane, only a 2 hour flight back to JFK when visiting family.

6) Non-Lotto-  Nino Williams (2014 draft).  1st round, pick #16 Houston Rockets.  Nino is exactly what the Rockets need in 2014 to help them pull the pieces of the puzzle together for them to make a huge push in the West.

7) Michael Orris (2014 draft).  Possible lottery, most probably a mid 1st rounder.  My analysis shows Orris going to the Golden State Warriors.  A huge upside, Orris will surprise a lot of haters next season and extend his early lead as 2014 Big 12 PoY.

Let me know your thoughts, especially if you think I've missed anything.

I think Gip's nips should make him a lock in the '14

Pretty spot on imo. I could see Nino dropping to the 20's depending on draft order

Solid analysis

my analysis showed that he just doesn't have nba level size.

Looks right, but I think Diaz is a sleeper in the 2nd round for 2014 draft.

In all seriousness, I think Sprads could be a late second rounder. I mean look what Steph Curry is doing at Golden State. Players who can shoot and can find room on the flr for jump shots are becoming a HOT commodity in the NBA.

Having conqured 2 of the 6 power conference leagues already, what does your analysis say about oscar jumping to the NBA clams? Really, what is there left to prove in the college game?

oscar is, and always will be, a college coach.  the nba is for coaches who would rather sip piña coladas rather than shape the lives of young men.

I don't see how Sprads won't be leaving this season. He's gotta be a top 20 pick already. Sharpshooter check, incredible vision check, tough as nails check, unbelievably smart check. He'll be spelling Rose next year.

Hey, if you didn't copy/paste, kudos to you.  All I am saying is that it is well put together and seems to mimic what I read on ESPN insider a couple weeks ago.  If you guys came to nearly the exact same conclusions, then great minds think alike I guess.

Where does your analysis have McLemore, 'clams?

I just crunched the numbers and I'm getting late 2nd round. Hard to believe though, I think he passes the eye test and I would draft him with the #18 pick in this years second round (Miami Heat).

I've heard from a really good inside source that Angel will do the "enter the draft without an agent so I can still come back at the last second" thing after this season.  Orris too.

'Clams- anyway we can keep further analysis (premium content) private so those of us paying the hefty subscription fee don't have to share this quality info with the non-paying poors on the board? TIA

every now and again we have to drop some premium stuff on the main board so that non-subs can see what they are missing.  this is one of those times.

#EMAPE will likely go 2nd round next year also after his upcoming breakout (of the clap).
