Should contact that rich exchange student guy in Manhattan that simply wants you to help teach him English.

Not really a craigslist roommate, but might as well be. KKK found a subleaser for when he moved out, and turns out he's a "brony"

Quote
Brony
A name typically given to the male viewers/fans (whether they are straight, gay, bisexual, etc.) of the My Little Pony show or franchise. They typically do not give in to the hype that males aren't allowed to enjoy things that may be intended for females.

Other spellings: Bronie
Plural spellings: Bronies
Female 1: Have you seen the My Little Pony cartoon?
Female 2: Yes! It's so cute and awesome!
Male 1: I've seen it as well.
Female 1: You're the coolest brony ever!

Quote

Fans of the new G4 My Little Pony show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic". Mostly refers to the older male viewers of the show, but female fans use it too. A Brony is generally pretty involved in the community at large.
Brony 1: What's your favorite pony?
Brony 2: Fluttershy, cause she's just so cute!
Brony 3: Hey man, those are fighting words. Rarity is obviously the best pony!
Brony 2: What are you going to do?
Brony 3: I'm gonna love and tolerate the crap out of you.
*hugs*

I haven't used Craigslist but I did use roommates.com and it was pretty easy. I had to move halfway across the country and didn't have any time to go apartment searching. You can search by location (obviously), price, # of roommates, etc. and go from there. There are pictures of the apartments, roommates and whatnot so you can see what you're getting into. It costs something like $20 to sign up but it was worth it for me in a time crunch. I've lived with the roommate I found on there for three years now and we've become very good friends. A friend of mine has also used it twice and it's worked out just fine. Just seemed a little less sketchy than Craigslist.

to be fair, My Little Pony is  pretty good show, much better than the spoiled brats on Horseland.

Did this as well when I moved to a new place and didn't know anybody. Worked out pretty good. Would recommend. $20 is nothing in comparison to a shitty roommie.

I would consider Craigslist if you were looking in a place like Manhattan, for a large metro - eff no.

in mhk, found a subleaser for my room while i left the country for a few months. worked out fine, got along fine with other roommates. didn't use craigslist until the week before i left (out of desperation) because i was scared of the crazies that may respond. really surprised things worked out.

I would stay away from CraigsList for roommates. I heard Winters found a real control freak of a roommate on Craigslist. Get's all bent out of shape if you bring friends over.
