Quote
Weapons of mass destruction Biden's biography on the White House website touts his credentials as a former chairman or ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee who's been "at the forefront of issues and legislation related to ... weapons of mass destruction." Scott Ritter, the chief United Nations weapons inspector in Iraq prior to the invasion, probably wouldn't agree. In 2002, Ritter said "Sen. Joe Biden is running a sham hearing. It is clear that Biden and most of the Congressional leadership have pre-ordained a conclusion that seeks to remove Saddam Hussein from power regardless of the facts, and are using these hearings to provide political cover for a massive military attack on Iraq."

The Iraq War Biden voted for the Iraq invasion of 2003. He has since said it was a mistake to invade the country.

Pretty funny when you think about it Beems.

Two of the biggest Dem Cheerleaders for the Iraq war were/are key components of the current administration.

Ummm... okay?  People are hypocrites.  What are you going to do about it?

Unfortunately our political system only gives us two viable presidential candidates.  I vote for the one who I believe will be the best President for our country.  I'm sure you do the same.  Right?

Pretty big issues to just shrug your shoulders and say, "well all politicians are hypocrites".

It's about the power, not the principal, few Liberals can ever admit that.

Most politicians voted for the wars because public opinion was such that if they didn't, they wouldn't be reelected.  I think a problem with politicians is they go largely on public opinion.  I think they should be elected for their policies/beliefs but once they are in office, they should largely be trusted to do whats best even if its not always popular.

Only a hatred of hypocrisy and purposeful "forgetfulness" for the sake of garnering political power.

Hardly, I have blasted neo-liberal Bush, and the hypocrisy of the talking head right often over the years.

My latest is the absurdity of the talking head right that Obama is being soft on terrorism, or at least that's what I was discussing awhile back . . . when we all know that Obama is blasting humans using the flimsiest of "evidence".  A true strawman . . . maybe not a lot of hypocrisy in this particular case.

I didn't say I agreed with it, just that a crap load of democrats got canned for voting for Obamacare that survived voting for the war.

How can this be????

Joe Biden said in his debate with Boss Ryan that he voted against the war in Iraq?  Surely the media wouldn't stand for that bald-faced lie.  Even if the media was too asleep at the wheel, surely the debate moderator would correct him.  Even if the debate moderator was doing his job and stfu, surely the public is too informed to overlook this ridiculous untruth.

It was right in there after he blamed the recession on the wars, which were paid for on a credit card, and are the only reason for the deficit, other than medicare prescription drugs (he surely didn't vote for this either), but not medicare/medicaid or any other programs, and nothing is he and Obama's fault even though the country is even more mumped right now than it was in 2008 when the stock market was sinking like a lead weight in water.

I like how BMWJhawk is all politicians lie, big whoop, and then spends half his time on goEMAW posting said lies as if they are fact.  What a drone. . . DRONE!!!!  OMG!!!  THOSE ARE TOTALLY COOL NOW AND ABSOLUTELY JUSTIFIED, it was their use from 2000-2008 that were war crimes, constituted murder, etc.

and I'm guessing that you voted for a VP that wrote the Patriot Act and was a staunch supporter for the war... right?

I mean seriously... you have a VP, who has been in DC for 3 decades and his boss ends up being a freshman senator/community organizer. You can't make this stuff up.

This is true.   It was a play of political gamesmanship to have the Iraqi war vote in Oct.  of 2002 just right before the midterm elections.
