So if KU goes O'fer again this season, they will have tied the worst stretch of football in the history of the conference.

The hurdle that KU faces this season that those loser Baylor teams never did though, is that KU doesn't get to play a slump-buster program like KU this season.

Stay tuned.

KU was really close to beating Texas and Texas Tech last year.  Okie State was close too.  I think the program's headed in the right direction.  In fact I think KU's going to be a pretty tough win for a lot of teams next season.
My god i would love to see the "close to beating Texas Tech" banner unfurled.

I think KU beats Tech and stops this streak at 20, fwiw. Things will get ugly if they don't.

KU gets WVU, TTU and Baylor at home this season.

Interestingly enough, they have a decent shot at breaking that astounding conference road losing streak, which dates back to the Bush administration, when they play in Ames this season.

I think Baylor will be very good. WVU and TTU are both winnable.

2012-13 KSU Cats: 1st place in football, tied for 1st in basketball with 4 games left. KU Squawks: 10th place in football, tied for 1st in basketball. I think the little dick syndrome is offset by having an actual huge dick.

Baylor went on a 29 game conference losing streak that began on October 17th, 1998 (after having beat KU the week before) and lasted until October 5, 2002 (when they beat KU).

Do you guys read phogtuck.net "religiously"?

I mean, I read it regularly, but I wouldn't call it "religiously".

Seems strange that someone would say this in the way they say it, given that they always seem to know what's happening on K-State message boards.

Sheesh, beems. Do you ever have fun following sports?

Yes, I'm having a blast.  I love it when a rival school's university president mixes it up with random KU fans and twitter and looks like a dipshit in the process.

Seems like a weird thing to get enjoyment out of but different strokes I guess :dunno:

You know what I really enjoy, 42?  Going to Final Fours, winning Big 12 titles, winning BCS Bowls, and winning national championships.

I like winning Big 12 titles too!

Our recruiting class this year was really solid, and I'm hearing good things about Heaps.  Hopefully Weis can keep owning Old Balls in recruiting and force him to retire (just like Mangino did).

Not worth trying to create another sock just to read it imo. Place has really gone downhill since TomLight ran all the creative types off.

If they don't, they pretty much write off the season, decide what the talking point will be with regards to Chuck, then start BB season and FB recruiting discussions.

We'll see.  Gill did a great job recruiting too.  Now I think Weiss is a better coach than Gill, but he sure didn't prove that he was last season.

Yeah, Mark Mangino with that .250 winning % against Snyder.

Snyder tried to un-retire about 24 hours after he retired and Weiser and Wefald wouldn't let him.

I agree on Heaps and the recruiting.  I would venture to say that KU has both the best QB and the best coach this preseason.

Yeah, they follow the Tech game with @TCU, OU, Baylor, @Texas, and @OSU. They won't have another winnable game until mid-November. Hopefully Weis realizes that his ass is fired after this season if he doesn't beat Tech, and he fixes this train wreck.

He gets a third year regardless, imo.

He helped build it, so he had the right to burn it down.

Oopps, Mangino had a .200 winning % against Snyder.   1-4

One win that needed a trick play (great call) at home to win in the last minutes.

If he can't win more than 1 or 2 games this season, keeping him for a 3rd year would be pretty racist, imo.
