it's really not too difficult, you'll have no problem having it perfected quickly... a springform pan is a must, i also bake it in a water bath.

So far I have just used pre-made crusts, knowing that it isn't the best, but wanting to cut time while I experiment a bit. Going to buy a springform pan and will try the water. What do you use for your crust? Also, thoughts on ricotta in place of cream cheese?
you can sub about anything for the oreo and it will work the same- graham crackers, chips ahoy, etccant emphasize how important the springform pan is though.
used to always get turtle cheesecake from the schwann's man growing up. was the greatest thing ever.
i would eat the frozen cookie dough raw. i don't think i ever once actually baked any of them.

The cookie dough started expanding with the milk and I seriously though my stomach was going to explode. I had to lay down for an hour or so. It was excruciating pain. Still worth it.
