Does WVU fire Huggins?
« on: February 18, 2013, 02:56:39 PM »
After WVU loses its last 6 to go 13-18 (6-12) and misses the NIT, does Huggins get fired?

What's the word around Morgantown, MountaineerLegion?

He has a parking space at the colosseum as long as he wants it.  He's infinitely loyal to the university and the state and that loyalty is reciprocated.

certainly a loyal guy.  no question about that.

but seriously, do you think his drinking has anything to do with this faceplant of a season?

First, I said he was loyal to our state and university, not yours.

Second, not sure if you're serious or not.  Our face plant of a season is centered around the fact that we lost an entire class to attrition.  Losing an entire recruiting class would hurt most programs.

oscar missed the postseason a few times because he lost entire classes to attrition.  But, he was fired.  You're saying that this won't happen to Huggs at WVU?  Also, his sobriety isn't an issue?

No, it won't happen to him.  We have our head coach until he retires or drops dead of a heart attack.

Short of raping the pope he will not be fired.  He would REALLY have to embarrass the university to get fired.  I don't think he will let that happen...he cares too much for the university and state.  I might be naive but that's what I think.

From what knowledge I have collected about the commonwealth of West Virginia, pope rape is worth a contract extension and healthy raise.

What could one do to embarrass West Virginia University? It would have to be a huge fiasco.

To be fair, you shouldn't miss the postseason a few times from losing a single entire recruiting class to attrition. I think most teams would give their coach one bad year, especially after the success Bob has had.

Bob had a stretch Hummer waiting outside Bramlage to DD him to Aggieville tonight.  my money's on his liver giving him the axe before the hoopies do.  so saddening that a proud program with great history(John Beilein, Fred Schaus, Jerry West, and well thats pretty much it) has been left in shambles by an angry drunk.  here's to you Bob

Some of the children sitting around us started to cry when Bob was on the court screaming "eff YOU, eff YOU" repeatedly at the officials.  I tried to then make it all better for them with some cookies for cats but they ran out by the time I got there.
Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

They wouldn't have run out if all of those bad person adults weren't taking cookies. :curse:

So lets say WVU has 5 straight years like they are having this year, a complete dumpster fire of a year where they finish 6th or 7th and only beat the teams behind them.  You are saying you still wouldn't fire him?
