I think the only question for the rest of the season is if they have Michonne kill the governor at the mid-season break or stretch it out until the season finale.

I kinda think you guys expect the writer's to be like Stanley Kubrik when they are not.

Nope.  just asking for some more creativity/intrigue.  Season 2 had a few moving story lines, but pretty stale IMO.  Halfway through season 3 and the exclusive story line is a flu outbreak.

at least Carl is turning into a badass and the show has better music.  Those are 2 positives.

I want to see Rick, Darryl, Killer Carl, and Michonne just go on the road. Killing zombies and crazy cannibals. Maybe head out to Washington DC.

This would be a good spinoff.  Interesting characters cede control of the prison to the Governor (now known as 'the Warden') and embark on a journey across America where they encounter interesting characters, interesting places, and interesting/suspensful situations.  We learn about the past and get a glimpse of what the future may hold.  And there will be cool music and cinematography.

It would be similar to Walking Dead, but more interesting at every level.

ps, did any of you know that after Season 1, all of the Walking Dead screenwriters were fired and they just contracted with some freelance folks?   I didn't know this.  Could this explain why the story has blown ass?

There have been 3 show runners and who knows how many writers. Supposedly the reason they stay at places way too long is to save on set costs. It's not a well oiled machine. I just finished Breaking Bad and Walking Dead is so boring now. A whole season at a farm. Yay. Two seasons in a bunk ass prison. Ohhhh, a flu.

Booooooring.

The show shines when they are on the run and numbers are few. I want to see more bad ass moments, too. Too few of those lately.

The problem isn't the set.  If they would have been on the run the whole time that would have gotten old by now too.

The problem is there isn't a new threat.  Tons of zombies chasing the group.. well we know how that ends.  They tried turning this flu thing into a new threat but no one cares about sickness and it's not exciting to watch people throw up.

Pretty great twist to the show with this episode...the governor isn't completely evil? Like it.

There was a point in this episode where I thought it was a "prequel" to the Governor getting to Woodbury, then the eye patch reminded me.

Those chicks seemed waaay too trusting.  Hey, there's a filthy guy with an eyepatch at the front door, might as well let him in.  Oh, he ate a plate of our Spaghettio's?  Well he's one of us now.

i wonder how they will continue this story.  they probably can't have several governor-only episodes in a row, but they almost need to get us up to date before they have him interact with the prison group.

maybe we will have a carol-only episode soon?

Will be interesting to see if that is the case with Rick, Michonne, and the Governors history.  I thought it was a good episode.

Yup...Does he just drop the family off at the gate? Will they take the family in or will they think the governor is planting people inside?

Who knows, be sure to tune in next week to find out!

i read somewhere that there are only 2 episodes left until the midseason break.  so there is no way the goverrnor and the prison people confront each other next week.

If the gov is supposedly the most evil person OAT then he's not trying to make nice to save the girls.

I think he is conflicted...like he was just a normal family guy before the zombiepocalypse then he pilled the power vaccum and let it corrupt in into become evil...when all his buddies left him he hit rock bottom and was all like "Man, I really became a jackass and ruined everything I built and I don't want to live anymore"....Maybe he goes all softy and nicely drops the family off at the gates? Nope probably wont happen

Best episode of the season. It was actually good, which is surprising given that the Governor was a pretty cheesy character last season. The new characters were interesting, the story was interesting, the Governor/Brian reboot is good, zombies actually seemed dangerous, it was just an all around good show.

The only dumb part was at the end when the girl is standing in the road and, rather than just grab her, the family just stands there and Brian is calling to her like a dog. I understand what it's supposed to signify, but it was still pretty 'tarded.

Also, the Gov was never totally evil - he just went power-crazy. It's going to be interesting to see how Brian reconciles his past with his redemption, especially since he's headed to the prison.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.
