Enjoyed the 7iron beat downs. Loved how he lit the fire wish a stack of cash. Was hoping they threw more full bottles into the fire to watch them go boom. Anticlimactic announcement of what he did before zombies.

Loved it.  That entire episode was around 2 characters.  I now understand Beth and can have an emotional connection with her character.  What she has been through...what she has seen....what she has missed.  We all knew Daryl was rough, but in-the-sticks rough not so much.  I mean the guy hasn't been outside the state of Georgia.  Two people from completely different lifestyles coming together in this new, survival-mode lifestyle.  They are equal.

Ehh, it's better than the prison, but it still sucks. Even with the change of scenery, the characters just aren't that interesting.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

It's not TWD's fault because every show/movie does it but there is not a normal bed in the world with that much room underneath it, just drives me nuts.

yep.  he has to tell us he hates it every week, but still watches.

i love the direction the show has taken this season....the new guy in charge said he wanted it to be more in-depth as far as character developement, and that's exactly what it is doing.  I like the character of Beth, now, and before last Sunday I had no feeling either way.

The scientist character has to be the least in-depth character ever on TV, even if he was only on for a couple of minutes so far.

Scientist: Monotone, no personality, smarter than everybody else, has no discernible skills outside of science.  Learn to use a gun in the zombie apocalypse? Nope.

It is like he was written for by a bitter high school jock.

Yeah, I want this show to be better. I keep watching because I keep hoping it will be better. It has gotten a little better. Overall it still sucks. Glad you like it, though.

Don't worry, if he lives long enough, I'm sure we'll get an entire episode devoted to developing his backstory. It won't be very interesting.

The thing I didn't like about this episode compared to the governor episodes and even the Carl/Michonne episodes was that we didn't really learn anything new (or at least that already seemed obvious).

Governor's character seemed to develop, and Michonne got a lot more backstory including why she's sticking with the group now.

This episode?  We learned that Daryl had a terrible childhood while Beth was sheltered.  And Daryl cares/cared about the group.  Nobody really transformed from who they already were.

Rest of the episodes this half have been good tho

Unless he created the disease that started the Zombie Apocalypse because everyone was a jerk to him and thought he was an uninteresting nerd.  He had his fun and now he is ready to stop the disease but needs help getting to DC because he is so smart he is directionally challenged and incapable of getting there himself.

I finally caught up, I don't get mad at it anymore.   Just watch it for being a show that I want to see what happens.

I enjoyed tonight's episode(only 3 left this season), lots of different emotions flowed through me. We finally know a little more about Bob, other than just being a raging alcoholic, which was cool. I like the beginning and ending parallels about Bob being alone at the beginning and end, then he isn't alone anymore. The almost moment between Daryl and Beth :surprised:. This season is going way to fast for me.

I've heard gripes that the past few episodes have been too slow, but I really like the development of some of the more minor characters. I really like Beth now because of the past 2 weeks. Who kidnapped her???

Agreed. The scene with Daryl and the dudes who find him concerned me a bit...it suggests IMO that, without Beth, he's reverting to the type of crowd he ran with before everything went to crap. That said, I think he's the craftiest of all the characters and will play those guys and win.

Bet Daryl ends up killing that entire group after they meet up with some of the original characters.

He'll either kill them all or the originals will assist.

Could be...those look like kills that should be spread around.
