It is just how men's basketball works for them in recent memory.Seriously, its not like this is KU with a 1 seed and the favs to make the FF in that region. Its nice to think about winning conf title in both FB/BB. That's one dream KU probably isnt gonna have anytime soonProbably one dream KU will never have.Unfortunately true. I will take mediocrity at this point in football.JoCo bandwagon squawk outed.First of all I don't, and never have, live in JoCo. I am not a bandwagon KU fan either. Have been cheering for them as long as I can remember in both football and basketball. Mediocrity for KU football is a huge step up. That is just me being honest. I suppose I could have said I want a national title or nothing else in football, but that would seem ridiculous considering the current state of the program. Next time put the beer down before you start thinking.

How great is it to be in the middle of February and our path to a Big 12 championship is pretty pud?I think it was asked in another thread, but not sure if ever answered.....has there ever been a school that has won the Big 12 in both football and basketball in the same year? Maybe someone in the goEMAW.com stats department could research that for us. I feel like we might be the first.

I choose the school I did because they offered more scholarships than KU. Did not want to rack up debt.

did you at least live in Lawrence?
Quote from: emawblast on February 19, 2013, 02:56:38 PMin my opinion it does make you less of a fan.How do you figure? I'm less of a fan because my monetary concerns outweighed my fandom for the school, that makes sense.
The true joys of being a sports fan are exacerbated by the ups and the downs. The emotional roller coaster makes sure you feel everything and the true depth of the feeling can't be understood unless you spent time on campus with those who were there with you. I truly pity those who never get to experience that. We got killed tonight, and Manhattan will reflect that. It will be a sad place until we beat Baylor Saturday. Sorry neither of you lived in Lawrence to understand that.
The first step to recovering is admitting your t-shirt fan problem.

GCJayhawker, have you been to a football game and/or basketball game in Lawrence?
