Team leaves tomorrow, weekend starters were announced. Cats make noise this weekend they are ranked next week. That's the goal to leave Texas with two dubs against the other P5 Schools. Cat's have a new baserunning strat should be a good time.

will any of these be televised on ESPN+? One of the few reasons i kept the sub was in the hopes i'd be able to catch more batcats this seaz due in large part to GregoryKSU getting me all horned up for one of the greatest teams OAT since like 2012 or w/e

A good portion of the season will be on ESPN+ but this first weekend is only on Flo Sports and the radio.

What should our level of concern be that we lost 80% of our pitching and about 60% of our offensive production last year?

I'm not too concerned about our bats, but the pitching... we're basically bringing back one starter and then nearly everyone else is new. To be fair, many of the newcomers are transfers from better programs. But, they are also a batch of transfers who didn't play much at all at their previous schools.

Anyone with more in-depth knowledge - should we feel good about the pitching staff?

I’m confident that the weekend rotation is solid. It will be even better when Wentworth gets back to full strength. Scouts have ton’s of interest in Ruebeck and Wentworth. He is coming off of an elbow injury though.

Saw Landry Wideman tonight and he told us that the ump said that neighbors was pitching from the stretch and needed to come set with players on base though he definitely wasn’t pitching from the stretch so the ump called a balk.

We suck, yes but starting pitching is a very bright spot which is a great foundation to build off of for the remainder of the season. Think we have a pretty good shot at Auburn tomorrow but only time will tell

I need a ruling. When is it too cold for outdoor BP?

My point being, K-State coaches of the past would have killed for all the 55 degree plus days in the preseason. But apparently (in some circles). 60 degrees is just too darn cold for live BP.

My kid has a bat that you aren’t supposed to use when it’s less than 65 degrees outside so he has another bat for cold games/BP. Maybe we only have the warm bats?
