Seems like there is a holiday for everything nowadays, but some just do it for me more than others.
.) Thanksgiving - food, family, running into rando high school friends at the bar, multiple days off work, football, plaza lights, don't have to buy people gifts, laziness is encouraged, really there is no contest with this one
.) X-Mas - see above, less food/football, more presents, lights, good movies, ski trips, funny youtube videos
.) Birthday - most all the benefits of the top two, but no corporations flaunting it in my face for a month, usually involves bbq
.) 4th of July - warm, no work, fireworks, grilling, Merica, lake/pool parties
.) Halloween - our neighborhood goes crazy, costumes are fun, slutty (insert name) costumes, candy, funny football fans
.) MLK Day - no work. I enjoy hearing all the people saying MLK wanted this, MLK wanted that. Marching cobras.
.) Wedding Anniversary - usually costs me a lot of money, but so would a hooker in vegas for the same outcome.
.) Easter - This one was WAY higher when I was kid, now the eggs are too easy to find and the bunny doesnt seem to make sense. One time when I studied abroad, a bunch of Slovakians in our dorm painted like 100 beer bottles and hid them throughout the building. best easter ever.
.) Memorial Day - patriotic, not much else
.) St. Patty's Days - Meh..green beer doesn't taste any better
.) Labor Day - random 3 day weekend
.) Vet Day/Washington B-Day, Columbus Day - dont work gov. don't really care
...other stupid holidays
ttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_holidays_in_the_United_States999.) New Years - what a stupid ass concept. lets stay up late cause the chinese said so...
