The Hope and the Change . . . died a long time ago . . .
« on: February 08, 2013, 04:31:39 PM »
and to reaffirm the fact that both the Hope and the Change is dead, the president has tossed several more shovels of dirt on top.

I hope Penny Pritzker does a great job . . . but in terms of change; sorry, not this good old boy/girl, gold standard of cronyism nomination.   Talk about paying off a debt owed . . . classic.

John Brennan . . . the standard Obamabot just waves and smiles at the shiny objects, but the few progressive liberals who are capable of looking past the shiny objects must be absolutely besides themselves that a thug of such magnititude is going to get the full set of keys to the kingdom.

People hated Jackie Robinson too.  History always reflects poorly on small-minded, racist conservatives.

If people simplify everyones hating of the president to being racist, we are not going to have a decent political discourse.  It was like when republicans likened being against the war to hating the troops.  Lets save the racist talk for people who actually are racist, like bigwillie20

Pretending like racism isn't a fundamental element of the right wing's hate for Obama and the Democrats in general is just as dishonest.  I'm not saying everyone who votes Republican is a racist, but there's a huge portion of that party that calls Obama the Food Stamps President, and thinks he's just out there giving handouts to poor black people.

Guys, racism is just too complex to understand. It's best to pretend its just not a problem.  Also, democrats are and have historically been the most racist.  See the dixiecrats and everyone in a union ever.

Conservatives always fall back on the fact that the Democrats used to be like the current Republican party.  All the racists in the South voted Democrat back in the day, but now I'd say about 95% of those people vote Republican.  The truth is that liberals have always been advocates for civil rights.  From the women's rights movement in the 1920's, to the civil rights movement of the 1960's, to the gay rights movement of today's society.  Liberals have consistently been on the right side of history.  Like I said, it's the racist, small-minded conservatives like FSD that have held this country back from achieving greatness.  We can't even host a Super Bowl anymore without the power going out.

Calling people who don't think Obama is a good President racist is a great way to change the subject from his record in office to something else. Pretty impressive work BMW.

It must be weird to hate people because they have a different political view. There are obviously tons of non-racist, well intentioned people in both political parties doing what they think is best. To hate the other side simply because they vote differently seems like the ultimate form of prejudice.

I don't hate anyone who has a different political view.  I hate the fact that our country is going to crap because none of our politicians can work together anymore, and no one has the balls to invest in our infrastructure and our future as a country.

I don't hate anyone, _33.  The fact is that there are a lot of people out there who hate our President simply because he's black and his name sounds Muslim.  I find that disgusting, small-minded, and racist.

Out of everyone on this board, you choose to attack me, and accuse me of hating people simply because of their political views.  Why?

Literally all of this is wrong (although they do pay the gays lip service to pander their vote).  Wow, take a history lesson or read a book you dolt.

Also, lol at how B.O. is essentially a neo-con on steroids.  He's a caricature of Bush, whom libs like you hate with every bone in your body.  You are pathetic.
