I couldn't disagree with this post more.  Fields is the best player on TCU's defense and he was a frosh last year.  He will be the d-end equivalent of Suh by the time he is done.

I probably have them too high. But at the same time I kinda feel like they are due to beat us.

Also, it' a reflection of hiw shitty I think our D will be which will have a carryover effect to our offense.

Fields doesn't have Maponga on the other side, which means teams get to focus on him when it comes to blocking. Fields also got the benefit of little film on him. I'll only eat this if TCU has other guys step up on the D line. They also lost their #1 WR who declared early for the draft. If Pachall stays on the wagon how good can he be?

Dude, every big 12 team lost significant players. TCU lost way less than any other team. You pointed out one D-lineman and one wide receiver and are trying to tell us how terrible it's going to make them.

I feel like tcu is the only team that will be demonstratively better.  Our offense is gonna be sick next year and it was rough ridin' good last year.

Are you aware that the biggest reason for KSU winning as many games as they did the last two years (AB) just graduated?  That has something to do with people predicting 4th and 5th place finishes.  The offense will be fine next year, but the defense is going to give up points.  A lot of them.  Every single defensive position will be worse next year than it was last year, with the exception of 1Y (assuming he makes a full recovery from his injury and it doesn't turn him into the second coming of 2Y's).

TCU and Tesas both had 16 freshmen starting last year.  I just don't see either team as losing alot of players and needing to rebuild.  Both of these teams will surprize the rest of the conference.

Next year will be a struggle we are just going to so young on defense and not all that talented either.  I think we can be good on offense but new qb's often struggle under Snyder.  We just have to scratch out wins against teams like ku, ISU, west Virginia etc. and then hope to steal one or two more.  7-5 would be fine, 8-4 would be real good for this team. 

I was hoping we were building towards another big season in 2014 but I don't think we landed enough juco talent on defense this year.  We were going to suck on d regardless this year but a good crop of juco kids could have put us in a strong position for 2014 with a lot of talented seniors on defense, a returning starter at qb, and a veteran o- line. Now Im skeptical we have the defensive talent we need to do that.

Would be fine w/ a 7-5 or 8-4 season if it meant a bunch of 45-42 games w/ Sams setting the foundation for his Heisman run 2 seasons from now.

so all those studs sitting on our roster not getting playing time because they couldn't beat out the players on that sucky defense last year?  JFC, we're losing the Offensive Player and Defensive Players of the year in the Big 12 as well as the Defensive Lineman Player of the Year in the Big 12, and Two 2nd Team All Big 12 Defensive Lineman.  Hell, Nigel was an 1st team All Big 12 DB his JR year.
