I bet a Brooklyn things thread would be pretty fun.

probably not too different, really. It's a very SF thing to think you're more unique than you really are.

Most of the "DC things" I would have posted my first years out here would really have just been "cities in the industrialized world things".

Yep.  Dude in a full silver bodysuit skateboarding down the middle of the street:

Brooklyn: check
SF: check
Adams Morgan: check

Hadn't opened this thread before today.  Thinking none of you bros might want to come visit Brooklyn now...

 :embarrassed:

I'll be there August 9-13. My sister has to work a couple of those days(nurse in White Plains), so we can booze all over Bay Ridge.

Hmmm.  Boozing in Bay Ridge would be a new one for me.  I'll check my schedule (i.e., ask the new gf).

I don't know much about Bay Ridge, but my cousin(20yrs old) who lives in Brooklyn says it's where the bros party. I will pm you in August if you think you'll be around? I'd love to meet NYCACGOSP.

I'd rather go to a real concert or do something else, mostly.

I think the best part of that article was the ad on top of the page
"Get pre qualified today! Medical marijuana evaluations"

And one of the other stories at the bottom
"SF Weekly told off by wanker at masturbate-a-thon" with a picture of a bunch of people with their pants around their ankles sitting on the ground

That sounds like kind of a lame idea at first, but the execution was phenomenal.
