When I was in San Fran I was a little kid and I got a Chinese finger trap from a street vendor and it trapped my fingers. Also I got a Chinese YoYo.

Whining about people calling it "San Fran"
People on bikes carrying their dogs in a backpack after work

I've been to San Francisco several times and once while there referred to the city as "Frisco," which I had seen in the media somewhere. I thought the local to whom I was speaking was going to kill me. Since then, I never say "Frisco" in San Francisco.

My uncle used to be a fire chief in SF. He let me get in a fire engine and turn on the lights and blow the horn.  They live in Navatto now.

Literally just saw a car moustache and someone taking their miniature terrier into an office at the same time.

I thought the homeless people in San Francisco were a bit too direct.

I was still a little cranky until I read this thread.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

I thought the homeless people in San Francisco were a bit too direct.

They also crap on the sidewalk too much.

Homeless that hang out in the same park and just party every afternoon. They don't seem mentally ill, just people that want to live in a park and party

I heard someone describing this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxyhfiCO_XQ followed by "it was really poignant, it really makes you think". (I'm guessing this an everywhere thing, but it might not be).

going to Dolores park when it's this crowded:

Why? to sit. Also it isn't "touristy" yet.

Yeah, I love living here, but you probably get the best quality of life in the US in college towns if you can find employment. (real college towns, not shitboxes like Berkeley)

And the thing about the Mission is that their are rough ridin' crazy crackheads roaming the streets 24-7 (in front of nice restaurants). I know people that live in Oakland that tell me the only time they've felt nervous in the entire Bay Area was in the Mission.

hey, eff you, michigan.  also, i walked around the mission the other day.  nice place, a bit yuppie/pricey.  anyone that is nervous there should see a nerve doctor.
