reduced traffic generally, for many reasons.  but the operators specifically mention decline in convention bookings as the principal factor.

sf could enter a death spiral very quickly if the tax base that the city depends on erodes past an inflection point that begins compounding its problems.  how do you fix it?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

It won't go into a death spiral but I'm not sure how best to fix the legitimate problems without major societal changes. Instead of a death spiritual I think a lot of the tech bros leave and fairly well to do creative director hipster type dudes gladly take their place at slightly lower prices

I'm going back in a few weeks and want to see how much it has really changed because most of these stories are anecdotes that seem like they could have occurred at any point in the 10 years I lived there but the retail and hotel closings are real.

To the Tenderloin, forth with!!
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

At the risk of of Pitting this thread up, I just can't rough ridin' understand how people can watch and hear speeches like this and think, "man, this guys speaks my language". This is what I hear during speeches like this, "if you have an ounce of intelligence, you may as well turn this off, this one is to rile up the dumbasses". Its just unfortunate that 99% of their speeches are to rile up the dumbasses. Its so weird.

Andrew Callahan's last few videos on San Francisco are really good and honest about the drug and crime problems. Watch them.

This one too:

All of it makes me think it will be affordable enough to move back some day but overall I don't think it's that bad outside of the tenderloin
