Someone invented a pour your own beer thing for the Warriors sideline club. Maybe this is everywhere but it seems like a dumb silicon valley invention

pouring your own alcohol is very liberating.  i remember when i first saw it, in a cafeteria in italy.  i felt like a god.

Yeah they made you buy a $25 card that was good for two sixteen ounce beers. It was like pouring gas where they showed how many ounces you'd poured and the cost. It didn't seem to add much value but who knows.

Was it any faster than the usual concessions stand?

What is the sideline club?  Is it a private area or a big open bar like the one at the top of the lower level at the Sprint Center.

Not really faster, Depending on the beer you wanted. Sideline club includes a bar like Sprint center but you need to have a certain ticket to let you in. Not super private by any means

lol this was on my daughter's middle school newsletter:

Quote
Another reason that we need to watch out for various foods on
campus is the increased availability of a wide variety of treats
containing marijuana. Everything from chocolate bars to gummy
bears are now being made with high dosages of THC. While
these “edibles” are now legal for adults, they remain extremely
dangerous and illegal for anyone under the age of 18.
I encourage all families to have some discussion about
peer pressure and saying no to anyone offering treats with
unknown ingredients.

and then this was posted to the PTA facebook page

Checking my knowledge...in the newsletter it states that “edibles” are illegal until 18. I thought it was 21 no?
New world...just trying to keep it straight.
(Not that I’m plotting a timeline to provide edibles to my kid!!)

It turns out that a San Fransisco Steamer is the opposite of a Cleveland Steamer.  Heyooo!  Go Cats

San Fran has lost a couple of real icons in the last few months to LA and Austin.  Peter Thiel and Tim Ferris both relocated citing a toxic atmosphere.

Those two seem kinda like douche bags to me so perhaps SF is getting better?  Food for thought.

I’ll chew on that for a bit and give it some serious consideration.

Did not realize Ferriss moved here. Don't care either, but also didn't realize it.

I've seen that story making the rounds on conservative twitter. Not much to add but the Tenderloin is a weird place.

I mean, every day outside my bart stop on the way to work I see someone smoking crack. Like, literally smoking crack on the sidewalk every day. It's pretty surreal. And it's not in the Tenderloin! (where all the needles are)

that said it was like 70 degrees and sunny on Saturday and people get paid shitloads of money to work here

The idea of sharing a bathroom was initially alarming, but the pictures of the house looked nice and Ms. Shiver wanted to meet new friends. For $2,200 a month, she now rents a Starcity room with a queen-size bed, a bedside table and a chair.

I've been saying it since it opened. The new airport in Wichita also needs a sex shop.
