twitter layoffs are big news right now! and holy crap what a way to do it!

http://sfist.com/2015/10/14/some_twitter_employees_found_out_th.php

At a company I used to work for, one time all the people who got laid off just had their computers lock up all at once. Some of them were customer service people who were in the middle of a call at the time.

Prop F is trying to regulate airbnb rentals, which progressives blame for the high rent/housing shortage. So vanishingSF made this their profile pic:

A buddy of mine is flying in from San Francisco this afternoon. I will pick him up at the airport in time to get home and watch the Royals game.  He lives two blocks from AT&T in SF, and the easy access means he gets to go to as many Giants' games as he wants for the most part.  My last visit there the Giants were playing the Mets.

I don't like Giants' games vs the Royals. Otherwise it's just baseball as usual.

I just read an article about that too!

The contrast in comment sections of each article is entertaining.

I get that this is likely a joke, but what is the alure of that city?

I'm not gay, or a Jew. So I guess that is why I'm not into the modern Sodom.

Who cares if they let the muslims into the country, just keep the douchebag bayerrians (SF) out of Tahoe.  Keep Tahoe Douchefree!

The gay man I work with screamed bloody murder and ran out of the room when a cockroach ran across our work area. I was elected to dispatch the terrifying monster.

I don't see the SF gay contingent able to handle that environment with ease. Perhaps a soothing decor upgrade?
