I've honestly never heard of a destination wedding at someone's aunt's house.

Not to be confused with an elopement, a destination wedding is one in which a wedding is hosted, often in a vacation-like setting, at a location to which most of the invited guests must travel and often stay for several days. This could be a beach ceremony in the tropics, a lavish event in a metropolitan resort, or a simple ceremony at the home of a geographically distant friend or relative.

Feel free to do that while standing in your corner or not.  It doesn't really matter as long as it gets done.

outdoor events

Quote
Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, due to the rainy forecast, we've been forced to cancel our Be Mine cocktail party on Friday, February 6th. Although we're thrilled that San Francisco is finally getting some much needed rain, the timing couldn't have been worse for our outdoor party.

We'll still be waiving all adoption fees February 6th - 8th. Stop by either of our shelters this weekend and we'll help you find the purr-fect furry Valentine! Click here to view our adoptable animals.

Thanks for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you at our next event!

Best,

Krista

Disclaimer: I've never been to northern California

Actual question, how much is San Francisco skewed by how small and affluent it is? Chicago and New York (and KC for that matter) have significant areas of the city that are shitty which drags the median rent down significantly. It seems like San Francisco calls their analogous areas "Oakland".

Also, great thread to find another instance of wackattack telling someone to stop following him around

There's that plus they won't build anything new. There are still plenty of shockingly shitty areas of San Francisco, though. Like, the Tenderloin has to be one of the shittiest neighborhoods in the country.

which leads to this:
