What gave you that impression other than his lack of playing time?

Seems to me like he will get his share of minutes next year on a very good team so unless it's something else I don't know why he'd transfer.

Hope not, but wouldn't shock me. Don't think they will chase him off, we're thin with ball handlers as is. If he can't get into the rotation next season, he'll most likely leave after that.

You never know, but I don't see why he would unless he's unhappy or wants to be closer to home. I don't think we're running him off at this point.

The only thing I've heard rumor-wise that might lead to this is in one of the recruitment threads talking about Russell not being "the type of guard we expected" or something like that.

second tier. playing time is the thing w/ this cat. look for him to go to a georgia tech/vanderbilt type of school.

i can see G Tech/Vandy and also i can see UCLA. not sure which of the three he'll end up at but there's no disputing that it will be either G Tech, Vandy, or UCLA. wonder if he will make immediate JYC type inpact in practice since coming from elite school conference?

Did anyone see the way Nick Russell and Johnny Jones embraced at the end of the UNT game? I wonder if Jones is tampering. We probably won't give him his release and make him go Juco if he leaves, because we know how Jones and Frank feel about each other.

hey, it takes two to tamper, so if jones was tampering, i'm all for refusing the release. make him open it back up like mitchell.
