people still use mapquest?
Yeah, I'm never driving that far again in my life. If I move, I'm flying there and having my stuff shipped. Made a strong declaration during OKCPak that the 7 hours from Omaha to OKC was the furthest I would ever drive.

Horrible directions. Through Lincoln??? What about the 20 minutes you have to spend waiting for the train to pass in Marysville while you're scouting the tundra for black squirrels? If the weather's good stay on 70 and then up through Price (best scenery, just about as fast). Otherwise cut up to Cheyenne from Denver.

Cheaper drive, if you were so inclined.

Know what? This thread taught me something. It taught me that Salt Lake City is actually north of Manhattan. Something I should've known a while ago but just never realized, I guess.
I-80 is way faster than I-70. It is more direct to SLC, the speed limit is 75 through Neb/Wyo and you don't have to deal with mountain driving like Colorado. I think that 14+ hours is a little underestimated, I think it's more like 18.
