I am not convinced that we make the tourney next yr.  Not without some surprisingly good play from a new guy or two.

Losing JO, Rod, and Tay will be disastrous leaving Gip with Diaz as his only sub.  Yes we will have Shane and Angel, and I do think Angel is going to be a fine primary option, but the supporting cast is thin at very best.

If some of the recruits don't make an immediate impact, we will have some substantial growing pains.

Also, if you hate Will this year, just wait until next yr.

I think Gip has shown a lot of improvement over last year, and I'm actually pretty excited to see what he looks like next year. I'm also not quite ready to give up on Diaz, who has the raw skillset to be a pretty good player. I agree that we really need to recruit a guard who can make an immediate impact. Also, there is no way I could possibly hate Will more than I do right now, regardless of what happens next year. There just isn't enough hate inside of me.

Also, I love Gip and his improvement is fantastic, but even if he makes an equal jump again next year, he will still be a 5 that has the height of a 4 and no jumping ability.  He is always going to be the big guy that has to create space for himself.  Unless you have other pieces around that guy, it is hard to make that work at the level you need it to in order to win a bunch of games.  Also, that type of player is prone to foul troubs and Diaz is our back up.

Just like last year, I wish our offense was entirely ball screens for Angel. It would be an absolute joy to watch.

Finishing at the rim and drawing fouls? No.

Creating/Assists/TOs? Yes, by a lot.

Shooting? About the same.

Defense? About the same, but getting better (fouling less).

I think he's better at all of the things you listed.  His FTr is way down but I think that's because he isn't asked to get to the rim as much as he was last season, also one of the reasons that his TOr is better.

Nino has no showed since OSU. We still rely on JO a lot to have a non gip big in the game without putting a target on the paint for the other team.

I am not sold on shane and angel getting us there themselves.
