I think one the most plausible situations here is that Bill got rid of two crap recruiters.

Problem with this is they were hired by strong programs, not some random Sun Belt or 1AA squad.  I know Joe Bob received a substantial raise, not sure about Smith, but do you really see Gundy and Bielema hiring crap recruiters and giving them raises?

Aren't Smith and JBC our 2 best recruiters?

Joe Gordon left right before the season, that was another weird exit as well. Maybe the younger coaches are understanding that they have to try and build their career without the help of Snyd's.

This was basically StanBots take on 810 this AM

what will you say when a not-so-young coach leaves, though?   :sadpeek:
so why wouldn't you say what you know?  are you afraid of upsetting a source or are you just attention whoring?

They were let go because they were making the rest of the staff look bad at recruiting.

Maybe it was for their negative recruiting tactics driving kids to Arkansas State.

that wasn't really a question.  I already knew the answer.  preparing buttholes would be telling us what you (think you) know.  this is just attention whoring.

Dimel, Miller, and Hayes all seem like guys that have exhausted any head coaching future and are content at being a coordinator for the rest of their careers.  Essentially if they and Snyder get along great, they will be in it together til' the end.  Makes sense that (so far) we are only seeing position coach changes.  Best time for those guys to leave after a Dr. Pepper and BCS birth.

Do they (the assistants) really work 12 hours a day? Or do they just in the office that long playing internet checkers 50% of the time?

Quote
Smith's departure came four days after Wildcats defensive ends coach Joe Bob Clements accepted a position at Oklahoma State. Smith, who played for Snyder and was on his staff from 1995-2005, said the moves aren't a signal that Snyder, 73, is contemplating his second retirement.

"Coach Snyder isn’t going anywhere," Smith said. "He’s vibrant, he’s putting in the work and Kansas State will be fine. It was a hard decision for me but coach knows a lot of guys in this profession and he’ll get the right guy in for Kansas State."

Sorry if Luked, but it looks like we are in the clear, guise. Nothing to see here.

Can we stop touting this year's "BCS birth" as some sort of accomplishment. I'm mean we got curbed-stomped and clearly appeared as if we did not belong. I'm only claiming the Dr Pepper.

Gotta tout the BCS berth to remind everyone that OU's Dr. Pepper claim is complete bullshit

While the BCS berth wasn't that important, I think we did a decent enough job to show we deserved to be there.

A bowl win means, like, nothing. Bowl invitations are indicative of the season you had. Losing a BCS type bowl is way cooler than winning a whogivesashit.com bowl.

I would agree.  One horrible play and 45 seconds of horrible defense from an extremely competitive game.  Oregon should have been playing Bama.
