2. Smith and Clements realize that Snyder won't be around much longer (1 or 2 years) and decided to take lateral moves (for more pay) at big time programs because there is no guarantee of a job after he leaves.  Not a bad preemptive move for either of them.

3. Snyder is retiring now and everyone is getting the eff out.

My money is on #2.

Also, Jon Beasley will probably get the nod as WR coach.

Snyder steps down after signing day. Sean is then appointed afterwords

If that happens, I'm rough ridin' done.  Even after all the good that's happened.

OSU isn't a big time program.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

The value of these Asst. Coaches will likely never be higher.  I sincerely hope that is the reason for these moves.

Eh.  Consistent bowl team.  Tons of resources and access to Texas.  Hot, young coach.

Granted, my definition of "big time" is rather broad.

But they are little bro in their own state. I can't imagine what that must be like, probably kills them.

2 makes a lot of sense. 3 scares the hell out of me.

I don't think smitty was any too pleased that Currie thru him under the bus last summer regarding "illegal contact" with his godson (TLBL) while the "recruit" was still in high school...

This move was to get away from ADJC, iyam.

Smith was unhappy when KSU personnel lied & said he was the only coach who committed a minor recruiting violation when news hit last summer

Doubt that has anything to do with Smith's departure, but he was hung out to dry by K-State regarding that. The violations were very minor

rough ridin' comical.

So, the one assistant on our staff that actually tries to recruit is hung out to dry publically for some minor recruiting violations and it bites us square in the ass.

Smith was responsible for Sams.  FYI.

We've left messages for Smitty and others. Unreal.

I still have gotten no whiff of anything going on, but then again it's the time of year that we're not around many connected to football but the coaches aren't even in town.

eff this revisionist history.

If you had told me in 2005 that Smith and Joe Bob were leaving, I would have rejoiced.

You know what, SO WOULD'VE WABASH STATION!

Smith was thought of as a worthless recruiter, lazy even.  Joe Bob has been consistently reported by recruits to be off putting.

I think one the most plausible situations here is that Bill got rid of two crap recruiters.

Now, I think it's equally plausible that the athletic department is being stingy with salaries, and that could be a function of Currie and Bill fighting, OR actually both being stingy...I don't know.

All could be true.

Either way, two dudes are gone from our staff who were partly responsible for 2004 and 2005.

Bill is leaving, how hard is that for people to not understand.

How do I know this. 2 coaches leave 3 weeks before signing day. They will have little to no impact on there schools recruiting classes.

No announcement of new coaches but 1or the spots  appears to have been filled in my GA.

Do you dispute the fact that they are indeed crap recruiters?  Not sure whether your brains are full of stupidness here or not.
