Hard for the assistants to be loyal when they are treated like crap, paid like crap.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

It really is guys, no hard feelings, I had a semi-decent time working with the old ballsack.

But at the end of the day, KSU is a stepping stone school, not a destination job in any way shape or form.

When I saw Arkansas dismantle us in the Cotton 2 years ago I said to myself, "That is a place I want to be one day" and I couldn't pass up this incredible offer to make one of my dreams come true, and get the f*ck out of purple.

Best wishes KSU, Michael.

We'll be fine.  Bill/Sean will just promote another GA.

Both Clements and Smith will make more money . . . and as we get a better picture of the 2012-2013 financial picture consisting of:

-Record Conference Revenues meaning a projected $26 million dollar payout for each Big 12 conference school.

-Currie hinting about yet another Ahearn Fund donation record.

-Sold out football stadium.

-BCS Bowl.

-Reported FY 2012 Net Revenues in the double digits.

It's not a giant leap to figure that someone in our athletic department is extremely cheap and tight fisted and/or these guys didn't want to work for Snyder anymore/didn't like what the cards held in terms of future advancement at K-State.   It will take a lot of convincing for me to believe they were encouraged to pursue other jobs given the Snyder track record.

The "we just don't have the money" arguments from the usual suspects in Tuckville grow more absurd all the time . . . oh, and anything above what K-State could reasonably pay (which is more than they made) for either one of those guys means their new employers are over paying.   So it's not like I am saying K-State should pay them insane money.
