Some updates on the 2013 class

The Salina Bombers' defensive line will have a strong Kansas State flavor in 2014. Meshak Williams and Adam Davis, the Wildcats' starting defensive ends during the 2012 season, have signed with the Bombers. The Bombers previously announced the signing of former K-State defensive back Jarard Milo.

http://www.cpifl.org/newsDetail.cfm?id=222

The most productive NFL rookie from KSU in 2013 was..........Justin Tuggle?

But his production was basically = to that of Arthur Brown...Tuggle logged one more GP than Brown, they both recorded 1 FF, and Brown gor a .5 sack added to his career stat line.

Harper logged 4 total GP in 2013, all with his 3rd team (GB), and all as a Special Teamer. He may have ran a couple of routes, as GB was really thin at WR with injuries to Cobb & Jones, but Aaron Rodgers said he was literally introduced to Chris Harper right before warmups in the Cleveland game. GB saw something they like though, as their claim of Harper was their first waiver claim in 2 years.

Also, there is this nugget...the card pictured below is one of the Arthur Brown Rookie Cards produced by Upper Deck (who is the only trading card company licensed to produce cards w/ NCAA logos)...see anything wrong with ol' Arthur?

   :excited:

this was a treat!   :D

This site has 1y as a 4th-5th round grade...they have Lucas as the next highest KSU player drafted, w/ a # that would put him just outside the 7 rounds of the draft...

This is the most I've seen written about Arthur Brown this season:

From John Harbaugh's year end news conference...

Quote
Harbaugh seems to have high hopes in particular for Brown, whose primary role beyond special teams was subbing in as a coverage linebacker in their nickel package.

The Ravens loved his athleticism coming out of the draft and believe he can be an every-down player, but they didn’t want him to overload him during his rookie year, so they narrowed his focus. He made 15 tackles as a rookie and forced one fumble while playing most of his snaps in coverage.

Now Harbaugh believes that Brown is ready to compete with Jameel McClain, assuming McClain will be back in 2014, and Josh Bynes for a spot in the starting lineup.

Art Brown did a really good job in our nickel packages,” Harbaugh said. “He bounced around a little bit in college. And football, understanding the complexity of defensive schemes in this league, at this level, is going to take him to a starting role. He’s going to compete for a starting job. He’ll be competing for that [weak-side] linebacker starting job. I expect him to win the job, but he’s got to go win the job.”

I not sure how I feel about "Art Brown"

So, did EVERY one of you ass holes decide you needed the Daniel Sams/Arthur Brown card? The first few that hit eBay were <$5, then I inform the world that Daniel Sams has a card & the thing explodes! Glad I got one already, but geez

Really is a shame because of his great character, doing things the right way, etc. He could really add something to some team imo.

Long Snapper Marcus Heit was invited and I'm assuming Cornelius Lucas because they listed OL Luke Lucas from K-State too.
