On the bright side, at least we don't have a guy on our staff anymore whose name indicates that he's a backwoods cousin-rough rider.  :dunno:

I am sure he will be replaced by a young-up-and-coming-energetic-stud recruiter.

Reset things here.  Next season is year 5 of a 5 year contract for Bill, correct?

I'm hearing he left because he didn't want to coach under Sean and Sean wants to bring in his own staff.  Announcement coming after signing day.  Anyone else hearing this?

Yep.
Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

What more could a Kansas guy coaching for his Alma Mater and The Legend want?

I'm sure this has nothing to do with a substantial pay raise (again).

Nor lower with work hours or easier recruiting.

No, it's a rolling contract, every year is year 1 of a new 5 year contract.

Being around him at Cotton Bowl deal last year and a few other things, not complete EMAW like Smith or others. Tried to leave in 2004 and did not get a job so he was there until Snyder retired. Good recruiter, not a great coach. Hire Jeff Kelly
