I think somebody will hire Barnes after Texas fires him and end up with a home run. Unless you are a truly elite program, his recruiting alone would trump just about anybody else you could hire.

It's going to be a while before Texas even thinks about firing Barnes.

Nobody in Texas cares about UT basketball, including Barnes.

Does anybody in Texas care about basketball at all, much less UT bball?

I think they did for a little bit when they had Kevin Durant, and then stopped paying attention again  :dunno:

Some people care about the NBA when those teams are good, but nobody ever cares too much about UT.  It's kind of weird.

He always sounded like crap on radio interviews, because he wants to clearly convey his true feeling...that he doesn't give a crap about radio interviews.

His recruiting is at least partially due to BEING at Texas.  Guy is like a half-notch above Scott Drew on the terrible x-and-o coach tree.

he is starting to suffer from encephalopathy related to his cirrhosis. It makes it really hard for him to do radio interviews. Sad.
