counter-PI in 3...2...1...
No counter-PI at all, Emo is 100% correct. It's perfectly rational and well-reasoned to think that an officials no call in a game that Butler didn't even play in was the biggest factor that helped them go to back-to-back final fours. Also rational to chalk up a team losing a game, in which they never lead and were only tied in for less than a minute, to fatigue from a game 2 days earlier. Furthermore, it should be perfectly acceptable to attribute the fatigue to a missed call instead of a subsequent bonehead play or inability to win the game in overtimes 1 or 2.
Had no idea what I was thinking Emo EMAW, sorry dude, we were robbed.
Straw man after straw man argument.
Did I ever say the no call was "the biggest factor" of anything? No.
Attribute the fatigue to whatever you want, missed call or bonehead play, I don't care. I'm assuming you watched the game and saw the ridiculous prayer threes that those two X players (Longford and Holloway or something like that?) were draining? One after another, from beyond NBA distance, was incredible.
The players themselves admitted to not getting any sleep that night. I think there's a good chance we win that game in less dramatic fashion, in regulation, and the team is able to do better than their worst FG and FT shooting performance of the year (totally didn't look that up but sounds plausible).
