This is at least the 9th time he's done this.  He's done this every other year since 1997 with each new Congress.

Need more term limits, not less.  Congress should be limited more than the pres.

Tell your office mate they tried to do this 4 times when Bush was in office.  Please post their response.

1 term, 6 years

This is what should be used for every president and member of Congress.  Make it so that every two years 33% of the House and Senate are rotated so there are still elections/replacements every two years instead of one massive turnover every six years.

Also, they should get paid less, and the salary should be based on a 100% vote participation with a deduct for every vote missed.

They should all be part time jobs with no retirement or health benefits. Eliminate career politicians.

The thing about elected officials with no incentive to get re-elected is they act like bigger idiots than ones who have that possibility. Michigan's state legislature had term limits, and my goodness it was awful.

Also, what's wrong with career politicians? Seems better than a part-time politician, full time lobbyist to me.

Yes, full time politicians are better than the bureaucrats that would end up running everything.

One thing I do admire about Brownback is he stuck to his 2 term pledge in the senate.

If there were ever an HJ resolution, Barney Frank would be the sponsor.  Figuratively and literally.

Also, per Harry Reid, Hurricane Katrina wasn't nearly as bad as Hurricane Sandy.  What a rough ridin' tool

Also, 2 year terms for reps are absolutely ridiculous. Most of those clowns couldn't find the coffee machine after two years.

Shouldn't be a problem, all you need is 2/3 of Congress and 3/4 of the states (iir my Constitution c).
